RAM me baby!
RAM me baby!
Wheee!
I can't believe how cheap new RAM chips have become lately. I was just browsing a web store, and the chip I payed about $300 for a little over a year ago, now costs only $56 !
In a few days I'll have 3Gb of RAM in my PC. NASA, CRAY, move over.

Rumor has it, that RAM prices are about to start increasing again, due to cut downs in production.
I'm not buying any though, the 2 GB in my PC is more than sufficient for my current use.

Some ppl (with to much money) use that amount, or more, on the latest and greatest CPU or GPU. Why not on RAM??You payed 1k for RAM?! Pls tell me you where drunk out of your mind at the time.

When I upgraded my old laptop from 128Mb RAM to 256Mb it was like a new computer. I'm currently wondering if removing those two 128Mb chips and putting in some more powerful ones will make any difference. Thing is, with WinXP running on this thing on a PC with a feeble Celeron 850MHz CPU, I'm not sure if more memory is gonna do the trick.

Yeah. I used to have a desktop until my dad asked if he could tinker with it. Last I knew, it was in a dumpster.
I ended up buying the laptop I was given by NMU which worked fine until it started dying on me. I couldn't fix it because I was out of space, so I had to pick which drive to format to fix the problem. Thankfully I was able to save my important documents, but all those other files.... What a drag.
Since having a laptop in school is almost essential, I immediately went out and bought a replacement that was obsolete in 2 weeks. I would have liked to get an Alienware but I don't have 5k to throw down on a laptop and my benefactors weren't buying my pro-Alienware argument
So in otherwords, yes, that is my my main computer.
