Your alternate music to the factions in H5

Unread postby Orfinn » 01 Jun 2007, 21:14

I just came up with something. What do you guys listen to when tired of the H5 music? Do you listen to what you got no matter the faction you play with or do you prefer a certain kind of music to a particular faction?

I can give off what I listen to when I walk the lands of Ashan:

Its mostly metal of all kinds, power, heavy, black, death, new, folk etc :)

Haven

Hammerfall for me here and sometimes Breaking Benjamin and Steel Dragon

Inferno

Dimmu Borgir of course, In Flame (fits very well yeah=)

Dungeon

Nightwish, Sonata Arctica

Sylvan

Disturbed, Linkin Park, Evanescence, Bullet For My Valentine

Academy

Nickelback, Breaking Benjamin

Necropolis

Forsaken, Nightwish

Fortress

Lumsk, Kamelot, Hammerfall

New orc

Propably some Manowar here

Heres my metal list, love em all B-)
(the ones I didnt list under each faction do I mostly hear after playing H5, while typing in HOMM, M&M based forums ;)

Nightwish
Breaking Benjamin
Disturbed
Linkin Park
Evanescence
Kamelot
Dimmu Borgir
Hammerfall
Sonata Arctica
Manowar
Lumsk
Bullet For My Valentine
Steel Dragon
Slipknot
Children Of Bodom
Iced Earth
In Flame
Amulet
Marilyn Manson
Drowning Pool
Nickelback
Forsaken

Not sure I see the Breaking Benjamin/Haven connection.

I could see Slipknot or the Deftones for eviler races.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

Something psychedelic for Academy, coz all the heroes have bongs.

Well they have some songs that fit with haven, manowar could also be used there. Try B.B Blow Me Away with the gremlins magic guns and and other magic firing in every direction, fit well :D

Thats funny, before H5, (in previous Heroes games), I never wanted to replace in-games music with something else.

In Flames , goddamnit.

So..

Haven: After Forever (2005/2007)

Inferno: Dimmu Borgir (2001-2007), early Cradle of Filth

Dungeon: early Tristania, Sirenia

Sylvan: Leaves Eyes, Bal Sagoth (Battle Magic)

Academy: no idea

Necropolis: early Theatre of tragedy

Fortress: early Ensiferum

As for:
Marilyn Manson, In Flames
great bands, but I think they dont fit here in any way.
Manowar
I hate them, 'cause they are pathetic. They have pathetic lyrics, behaviour and such..
Linkin Park
Evanescence
Nah.. :disagree:

Its everyones music taste, but manowar feels great for battles :devious:
Linkin Park have meaningful lyrics, which I often are familiar with.

Although Hard Rock and some Metal are my favourite musical styles, and dont see why choosing such a small range of musical Styles... If I had to chose, I´d dare much more and say, for example.

Academy - Concierto de Aranjuez (classical)
Dungeon - Beethoven, Wagner, Rain Fell Within, Lacuna Coil and Nightwish (altthough the last three are not my thing)
Fortress - Flogging Molly (Irish rock), Black Label Society, Metallica, Toten Hosen
Haven - Saint Preux (concerto pour une voix), Islandish folk, Early Sirenia, Blind Guardian, Rhapsody, Shaman (brazilian rock band)
Inferno - Genitorturers, Black Label Society, ACDC and Rammstein
Necropolis - Hehehe... Type O Negative, Requiem of Mozart
Sylvan - Deaf Shepherds and Old Blind Dogs (folk scottish), Sigur Ros (Island), Vivaldi

Orcs - Island folk, Rammstein, Metallica (Need some time to think...)

Flogging Molly? Never really thought of that for the Fortress. I should see how Tobacco Island plays in the game.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

Never head it, but im going for it on the web today!

I tried yesterday several times to post here a shortcut to the island folk songs that I mean. But I´ve forgotten how does it work with ww.rapidshare.de and i cant seem to make it work with a URL to my files on geocities as well...

In fact the songs of this album are so good that they could have been used consistently in each town of HOMM5, and still be ideal for each mood and ambiance.

But I still dont manage to post them...
