I didn't need to gloat about it. She knew I played it and that I was pretty much undefeated. She was just ticked that I made sure she was the first one eliminated from the fight. :D

Well, seeing as how we broke up about 3 years ago, I'd say you are right Fate. ;)

Well that was unexpected!

At least you could play with your gf...most of the girls I know just aren't into video games...and the few that are...are taken. :(

That was really the only time.

That does seem to be the case with a lot of girls and videogames.

BS. They just say that crap but they still love preferential treatment.

I hate playing with my ex, coz he's so bad at telling the rules/controlls when we play. "Oh yeah, you should explode your car to get more point!", or "Oh, use that button to do that, gives you more speed etc." No wonder he wins all the time :disagree:
Once he tricked me into playing DoD3, which i had played for maybe 1h. He totally beat the crap out of me, only to tell me afterwards that he'd spent a year or so playing DoD with a friend of his...

I agree... I know a lot of girls that like to play "syberia","myst" and "still life"... And of course Sims :ill: ... I know just 2 girls that used to play H3 but don't have H5...while almost all my friends play H5...

For what it's worth...

My wife plays games on a machine right beside mine. She plays card games on-line. She has stated that she could never figure out my games, although she hasn't tried. My grand daughter has her own machine at my house and she has expressed a desire to play, but not sure, at 10 if she's able to cope with the decisions, however I'm sure she'll be a gamer.

My opinion, and I'm sure I'm on dangerous ground, is that women excel at games where luck and intuition are involved. Males excel where logic and judgement are required.

Let the games begin...

and where does heroes fit in all of these?

Personally I cannot care less if there are women gamers or not. I mean to me, on-line it doesn't have so much importance if I'm playing with a man or with a woman.

And if you are speaking about playing computer games with one's girlfriend or such, personally I prefer to play other types of games with my gf....

My girlfriend was really into H3 for the longest time. I'm sure she'll revisit it sometime in the future. Besides that, she's a Sims and Tekken freak!

I diss all that Sims and WoW and play EVE-online instead. Big space ships FTW!
And I'm also hooked on Civilization; it feels good to be able to take over the world :D

I also am male .... but I know 8 female members of these forums off the top of my head, and there are probably a few more floating around the place

no surprise, it's male dominated with some female HOMM'ers
