[H2]Your favourite lvl. 6 creature

Unread postby ThunderTitan » 31 Jan 2006, 18:15

There! Now all we need is a H1 poll.

And may the Titan win this one too.

Maybe I should have added Genie to the list. Any mods around?

The Dragon, for it's hard to obtain-ness, it's effectiveness, it's being the only creature in HoMM ever to have 2 upgrades-ness, and it's sheer coolness B-)

To me it's also a symbol of the unique flavour of each town in HoMM II, a uniqueness that haven't been seen in later games and that we due to the current rightsholder of the series's unfortunate loveaffair with everything HoMM III are unlikely to see again.

The Dragon was cool. But the Titan will always have a place in my heart, as it won the first game of HoMM2 for me.

Titans. They shoot lightning. And are cool. And can't be gotten through some lousy cheatcode...

Oh, and I'll go add those genies..

You know that cheatcodes have to be typed in, right? And by their very nature someone who types them in is a cheater. And unless you are a cheater, it shouldn't matter what you can get through cheating :D

Hey, first time I played H2 was on "Broken Alliance" (the Demo map), I was like 10 years old, and it was my first strategy game ever. How do you suppose I'd get to run around and see all those nifty things that were there if I didn't cheat like hell? ;)

You've got to make it clear which game you're referring to... but for H2, I was always fond of the Crusaders. Easy to get in large numbers, relatively cheap, and packing a huge punch. Especially against stinky necros. :-D

Long live the PHOENIX! They're fragile, but they are extremely fast and extremely nice to use.

Hey, I had fun, and that's what the game's is about, isn't it (that and oogling at fantasy creatures in bikinis)? It's not like anyone else was affected by my cheating...

I just realized something. The Cyclops is copied from X-Men. And it's concusion beam.

Ah, the mighty Titan is first. :D

Yes, that's great. :)
I wonder if it is possible that Titan will be the strongest unit in HoMM5? In the beta it is the second weakest 7th level (stronger than Spectral Dragon only) :(. Well, if the Titan is the favourite unit among fans in all the HoMM series (according to the polls here), maybe we could do something about this (a petition or so)? ;) Just 250 HPs instead of 175 and increase the price to 6000 - that could be fine. :D And if someone would be worried about the balance - well, Academy is the most expensive city and though now too difficult to play - and if it's not enough, they could just make lower level units a bit weaker. ;)
Cheers,
Boromir

Same thing with the others, bone dragons have been one of my favourites since H2.
