It's sort of a southern / Pennsylvania Dutch thing. In place of sawmill gravy, you also see it with creamed chipped beef. Very tasty but extremely bad for you. :)

Looks like sausage gravy. Used to be one of the more popular breakfast items at this diner I used to work at.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

The following is a case of good news, bad news, and can only be found while traveling in the Mytical Zone. The sights and sounds you here will all be wierd and unusual, which just means it is a typical day in the Mytical Zone. Take if you will a certain young (ish) lady who wakes up with a high fever, and the reason she woke up was her phone blaring loudly. On the other end of the line is a shrill voice stating that there is an emergency and she has to get to work IIP (Instantly if possible). The young lady tries to explain to the shrill voice that if she comes in today that half the people in the plant will catch whatever she has. The person's response was that by the time she got there she would be one of 3 people there (total) and the other 2 would be in distant parts of where she works and unlikely to come anywhere near her. After about 10 minutes of trying to reason with shrill voice, she relents, dresses and drives to work.

Apon arrival ms shrill voice is rocketting out of the parking lot (no clue why), and the young lady is stuck working a 16 hr shift..still with a high fever. Then just as time is running out and she will be able to go get some much needed rest to recover from whatever she has she gets another call. It is El President and he informs her she will be working another 12 hr shift after a brief rest (ok so 12 hrs is not brief). Again she tries to reason with El President only to be told that the place will be pretty much empty, and if she agrees El President will owe her a huge favor. Again, after a bit of time, she relents. *slaps forhead* What the heck was I thinking?! Or is the problem that in the state of fever I was not thinking??? *sighs* nothing for it now, I knew I should have never agreed to that dang promotion.

Now if you are wondering what the good news is..pays double overtime (for a total of 3 x my normal ammount).

I hate such situations but maybe the benefits for the young lady will be better in the end...Assuming that El President knows how to appreciate favours when he was in need. And that the young lady will continue to be sane after that :D
Hmm you may forget the last part *chuckles*

Well, at least if it pays well the princess can buy some medication to take care of that things she has. And then she can spend the 12 hour break shopping.

Everybody probably has gotten at least one. An email, phone call, letter (ect) saying "You have won X, all that is required is you pay/supply/ect" usually a 'proccessing fee' or your account number or social security number. It's a fact of life, somebody will try to scam you as often as humanly possible (or in the case of bots inhumanly possible). So when you read an article of somebody getting back at the scammers, it warms your hearts (at least till you realise it could be a hoax also).

Despite the possiblity it was a hoax, I am going to share a (abridged) version of such a tale (snopes.com has something on this). Seems one of those wire transfer scam orginazations contacted somebody, seeking account information so they could 'wire some money in, then withdrawl it minus a fee they would pay the person' later. So this person (knowing it was a scam) decided to prank the scammer. Using names like Jesse James, Paul Bunnion, and Babe..they had many corrispondence with the other group, leading them to believe they were interested in doing business. To make a long story short, after the 'secretary' 'accidently' finds the message and threatens to call in 'Sherrif' Wyatt (spelling) the people stop responding. If you get a chance and can read the entire thing, it is quite funny (if repetitive after awhile).
