Wow, the US News (and world report) have just figured out that using stimulants like coffee (and lattes), red bull, and ritalin MIGHT cause problems. No..really? Couldn't be true. Where have they been, with their heads buried in the sand? Look our bodies are wired a certain way, we need x ammount of rest and relaxation or we we start having glitches. Like overclocking a computer without any fans, cooling or such. Eventually (probably sooner then later) it will be a $1000+ paperweight.

We are not machines, we can't run constantly with a little mechanical tweak now and then, or like said machines eventually we go down and no ammount of mechanical tweaking will fix us.
Warning, may cause confusion, blindness, raising of eybrows, and insanity. Image

I prefer not to use stimulants myself but I will have the occasional coffe or red buff if I need to start concentrating for a long study. I guess that's healthy as long as you don't push yourself to the limit. Some substances don't have positive effects only and people tend to forget about that...

Well, sometimes I have a nes coffee/frappe or a freddo when I get out with friends. As for red bull that's less than 4 times per year ;)
Surprising how fast they learn some things, isn't it?

Goddamnit! Life sucks!

A deep and meaningful thought for Vel's 1000 post! :D Did something happen or is it a general observation? I know that many things in life suck but I prefer to keep a more positive outlook. Maybe because life has not dragged me on my knees yet, who knows...

Unlike you we don't need to keep a positive outlook so we don't cut our wrists.... we just cut those of other's.

I really haven't been that much. I was from about 1500-1900, but it really dwindled after that. Could just be the over-all forum cooling.

My finals are in about a week and a half, and after that, I'm off for 3 months...wohooo!!!

Well, there isn't much buzz anymore. Nival really doesn't do much to help keep the community's interest. The new expansion is nice and the occassional patch here and there, but that's about it.
