LOL, that's an old wives tale. Cat saliva, like most animal saliva, has some cleansing properties and antibacterial agents, but the mouth is also a breeding ground for all sorts of bacteria, some beneficial and others not so much. Some cat bites, like any animal bite, can become very infected, such as with the bacterium pasteurella.Mytical wrote:Cats are one of the cleanest animals on the planet. There tongue actually has anti-bacterial properties. Would have had no issue drinking the milk.
And let's not forget that cats clean their anuses and other parts of anatomy, by licking them. They may also have other infections agents besides bacteria, such as worms, virii, etc. Probably no harm will come to you from drinking the milk. After all, YOU have antimicrobial agents in your saliva as well, but no, I don't think I'd go around drinking after a cat, no matter how clean they appear to be.

It is true that cat's do not have as clean as in 'myths' but they are still cleaner then humans. So better never kiss anybody or drink after them in any situation. Yes they use the tongue to bathe themelves, and I would never eat after them, a few swipes of the tongue on a drink will not harm anything.
Warning, may cause confusion, blindness, raising of eybrows, and insanity.
