my random thought for the day .... the extended versions of LOTR includes a lot of good stuff that was taken from the theatrical release

Most of us knew that several years ago. ;)

I knew that but only recently got to watch the fellowship :) I was surprised that some of these things were cut.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

Sorry, he ain't in. I had hoped to see the guy at the initial release but it seems that he didn't have much with continuing the plot...

As someone on the net pointed out when FotR came out, the movie only works if Sauron is the scariest guy in it.

Nice ring... but i'm immune to it and none of you will ever know why... :tonguehands:

Why does the music in NFS Carbon suck? The ones in Underground we're all good and i don't recall being so disappointed by MW.

Well it IS true that the extended editions put the theatrical releases to shame. About the only re-added scene over the three films that I found out of place was Sauruman's death scene. Sauruman's death in the book was impeccably timed and his death at the hands of Wormtongue was poetic. I would have thought PJ would have stayed true to that when capturing the end of the book's most tangible villain. But, in the extended edition It was very corny and, given how different it was from the book, should have just been omitted entirely. Also I was disappointed that there was not more on the scouring of the shire in the extended editions, but I guess you can't have it all...

My cat just took a sip in my girlfriend's glass while she was looking the other way. She thought it was gross and threw the milk away. What a waste, I think I would have finished the milk anyway.

Cats are one of the cleanest animals on the planet. There tongue actually has anti-bacterial properties. Would have had no issue drinking the milk.
