tribes of the east eh? they went for the orange skin I see .... oh well

The orange skin doesn't look too bad...

I'm starting to resent Nival's "let's make homogenous (one-race) factions"
attitude though...

If a faction of Dwarves is dull and repetitive, won't a faction of Orcs have the same problem?

yes but now they seem to be seeing the point and trying to avoid the same type of lineup (5 orcs, a dragon, and some miscellaneous thing). at least now there is some variety, even though it is based around the central 'barbarian orange orc" theme.

Guys, we took about orcs of HoMMV but not of Tolkien, Warchammer or Warcraft orcs! Does Ubi make a orange orc? Ok. If they bee bad we make a mod of gren/brown/grey/blue/pink/gold orcs. Hmm... Blu orcs? God idea!!!

In my opinion looks matters little when it comes to dull- and repetitivness. The dwarven faction is the best in my view.

that ugly chain thing the guy is holding is suppose to be some kind of bear trap right? so he must be an orc trapper or goblin hunter thinggy.

orange isn't too bad, red was already taken soooo

it's nival's interpretation of the orc so we shouldn't criticize their attempt at originality.. well not too much anyways

does pao kai have eyes? when you kill one in DM they don't seem to have any. and the female orc seems to be holding some kind of wand thinggy upside down. hmmm

On another note, wouldn't it be nice to see undead cyclops? like in DM, yeah?

how bout upgrades that turn the unit into other creatures like gorgons?

they would be like, do you want to send 14 *blank* to guard the gorgon breeding pen and then you'll get 14 gorgons in return or something like that. Or maybe Gnoll marauders. then again they'd have to add abilities to make sure the change isn't just aesthetic but it would add alot more different units into th game rather than a archmage vs battlemage or crossbowmen vs longbowmen etc etc. same thing just little changes here and there.. ice out

But Nival has done worse things in the past, some so bad that things like the above don't bother me at all anymore. To complain about similarities like those above, would mean expecting perfection from them, while the only thing we can afford to expect from them, is at least no more disappointments .

Hear, hear. We already know that they're not going to change just because we could refuse to buy the game, so what are we arguing about?

they're probably the gremlins that got wet huh?

on another note regarding not buying the game Nival already knows that fans are suckers to anything with "might and magic" as a title, Regardless of how lacking or disappointing the game may be, they know that if they just add a little effort and make things 'pretty' fans will buy it anyways so why should they be nervous or be bothered, its not like Ubisoft is gonna lose alot of money from the game.

note: it's my opinion and not unbridled fact
