Do we know where in Ashan these Orcs are coming from?
Edit: found it elsewhere, it's the Plains of Ranaar

I'm not sure if they are recycling old models, but some similarities sure are there.
The Raccoon girl actually reminded me more of the Blood Maidens (maybe because of the "outfit", silhouette and similar weapon).
The Goblin seemed a bit familiar, but I didn't know why. Now that soupnazii pointed it out, I realize the creature has a pretty similar "standing" position with the Imp.
The Troll/Ogre/Cyclope/hopefully-not-Behemoth stroke me more than the others maybe, with helmet, axe with the little skulls and size in general - all reminding me somehow of the Demon Lord.
But Nival has done worse things in the past, some so bad that things like the above don't bother me at all anymore. To complain about similarities like those above, would mean expecting perfection from them, while the only thing we can afford to expect from them, is at least no more disappointments.

The only thing the goblin really reminds me of is the DMoMM goblin, although I can see where you are coming from on the likenesses...

No, you misunderstood my meaning. I meant it is the first time a centaur has been a cross between orc and horse instead of the normal human and horse. By saying orc, I meant the race; I did not mean barbarian.

BTW, after all these long years, the centaur (or his upgrade?) is an archer again!

Well it's not really an orc/horse hybrid, just another Wizard experiment, i guess that the academy guys at the time had a thing for orange.

They could easily have messed with the skin colour genes...Why leave them orange when they could be green?
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

I've always hated green orcs. I'm totally for the "Tolkienesque" way... therefore I'm glad to see orange orcs.

Tolkien orcs werent orange, they were dark brown, sickly green, grey or grey-green/brown.

I know they are not orange, but they are at least not green! This is why I hate green orcs. Btw, I don't think Tolkien ever described precisely their colour. And HoMMV is pretty colourful nevertheless.

Orange isn't a reference to Tolkien, it's going OLD SCHOOL. Go back and look at the orcs & cyclops from H1 and H2....big surprise, orange.

The Tolkien orcs are dark-green, so I think green orcs are muuuuch better than stupid orange orcs. I mean, I NEVER EVER saw orange orcs except in stupid HoMM I and II... and seriously, these orcs are more human barbarians than real orcs
I don't say I agree with the stupid Warcraft III orcs (too saturated), but dark green would be nice (like in Spell Force 1)
