Second Expansion officially announced
The second add on for HoMM V "Tribes of the East"is officially announced on the German UBI site. Have a look here.
Key features seem to be the new orc faction as well as an alternative upgrade for every unit in the game so far. Sounds exciting!
Bad luck for the naga lovers, however.
Here are some screenshots.

Yes, a good point. Will the import the old maps into the new game, along with the announced new maps, or are we just out of luck with the old maps? That would stink!! The new alternative levels for creatures sounds intriguing. Will the new upgrade for the bone dragon and wraith make them worth buying? I can only hope...
Not necessarily. The Dark Crusade expansion for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War was also stand alone (it was the second expansion for the game as well) and was integrated perfectly into the original game and its first expansion Winter Assault. When you entered the registration keys for the original title and the first expansion during installation, this enabled you to use the old factions in multiplayer games.PhoenixReborn wrote:Doesn't it mean I won't be able to play the new faction on original game maps? But if you are asking whether you can play the new faction when playing the game with the orginal game (.exe) then the answer is obviously no. As far as I know, you can not use the Dwarves in the original game either. As long as the 'old' maps from the original game and Hammers of Fate are included with Tribes of the East you should be able to play with any faction on them if the same system used in Dark Crusade is applied to Tribes of the East.

What they should do, is to implement a tool (menu option), that would allow the games to load maps/campaigns from previous games, if already installed on the PC, in case they want to play them under TotE.
It's not only fair towards the old players, but also good for Ubi, as such a feature, such a link somewhere in the menu's, might stimulate new gamers to buy the old product as well.

Slouching armored guy seems to be an orc.
And i wonder if any of you would have been complaining if there where males and no female.
