Your 5 favorite bands
We talking current or of all time? Whole groups, solos, duos?
Solo - Current : Gwen, Fergie, Christina, Justin, Eminem
Solo - All time : Madonna, Elvis, Jocko (I mean Michael Jackson), Garth Brooks, Cher.
Duo- Don't know many but here goes. Brooks & Dunn, Sunny/Cher. Since I need 5 will include some trios. Wilson Phillips, Bangles. No clue about who else would fit here. (bad I know).
Group - Wow talk about toughy.
Currently : Evanescence (spelling?), Danity Kane, PCD, u2 (though they could have broken up again..hmm have to think on that 5th slot for currently together groups.
All-time. *Head almost explodes from thinking so hard*. Geesh...Bon Jovi, Poison, AC/DC, Kiss, Whitesnake.
Now who hear ever heard B* Witched? They are one of the more unsual honorable mention for my top 5 groups. That one was hard, soooo many good groups. Even though my favorite solo's, duos, ect have a common theme the groups are all over the place. If we are talking just music, some of my top 5 solo of all time change, if we are talking singing and music it is correct. Non-singing. Chopan, Mozart, Boch, Straus, don't know a 5th.

Wrong? Nothing. I just don't like it - with or without Black or other Metal. Most of it sounds cliché and looks clichè as well, at least for me, but then we are talking taste here, so the things I like may look and sound the same for other people. You cannot argue about taste.theLuckyDragon wrote:What's wrong with symphonic rock?

Veldryn 15:15 And Vel found a dirty old jawbone of a walrus and put forth his hand, and took it, and in his unholy rage, he slew thirty four thousand men and children therewith.

Symphonic Rock, especially when mixed with (Black) Metal, comes always in a certain kind of environment - a lot could be described with the word Gothic. That's the visual and textual cliché. The musical part is the fact that it tends to being what I call drowning in bombastic harmonies. Moreover, if there is vocals only a certain style of vocal is used - a choral type of approach which is cliché either.
For more basic things, well, Bohemian Rhapsody is pretty cool, but that was that and once is enough.

Don't worry, i'm sure a few month in a dark dungeon will take care of that.theLuckyDragon wrote:But I'm not really sure I weigh the same as a duck.
Cliché - something you're too familiar with.
