Heroes V second expansion announced!

Unread postby arturchix » 01 Apr 2007, 11:24

<IMG hspace=10 src="/http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f390/ ... er_orc.jpg" align=right vspace=10>Today the Heroes V producer Fabrice Cambounet <A href="/http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/ ... nounced</A> that this summer in June 31st will be released the long awaited second expansion - Heroes V: Burning Crusader. It will introduce a brand new Forge town, cyborg orcs, tank nagas, and other interesting features, like Starforce mode for single player. Here’s what Fabrice had to say: <BR><BR><EM>“We here are Ubisoft and Nival during the past months were working hard to deliver you the best we could possibly think for Heroes V. We know that all of you missed the Forge town in Armageddon’s Blade, that you were expecting orcs and nagas in the next expansion so here’s an excellent chance for us to deliver it to you in an original shape! In "Burning Crusader" we will introduce also Starforce mode – now before each save in the game you will be prompted to input your cd-key – additional safety is never bad and you should have plenty of fun playing the game without actually saving it! I won’t spoil you about the storyline but the title carries a significant clue. I hope you will enjoy it as we did!”</EM><BR><BR>Wow, thanks, Fabrice, these are indeed, err, mind-boggling news? I’m not sure about you but a Forge town in Heroes V? They must be fooling us, April 1st anyone?

A game called "Burning Crusader"? Input cd-key before each save? This actually sounds like something Nival might do.

But seriously, it's high time they announce the second expansion already.

do not be sad ;) its only 1-st april trick ;)

here u have serious one news from polish homm5 site

(...) Second expansion title will be "Steppes of Chaos" and we could buy it at end of July

The expansion will bring new race and it will be Barbarians specializing in breaking the enemy defence. We will see well-known from previous parts: Lightning Birds, Cyclops and Behemots in barbarians city. It is also remembering about addition of the option of the review of the kingdom worth.

View of Kikngdom (known from previous homm parts) will return. There will be new skills, artefacts, locations and neutral creatures (jelly-fish, leprekauny, satyrs, trolle, troglodytes, wild tooths (?) and others)

There will be also new campagin containing 20 misions, new scenarios for single and multiplayer game.

Still there is no info abouts Nagi (Nagas - or something) and creatures from old citadel, so its possible that this is not the last addition for HoMM5 (...)

What a lame and unoriginal effort trying to fool people...
Veldryn 15:15 And Vel found a dirty old jawbone of a walrus and put forth his hand, and took it, and in his unholy rage, he slew thirty four thousand men and children therewith.

Agree. Things that appear to be too good most often end up not being so good.

And here I was sure April 1st would be started off with the “announcement” of MMX. This is funnier though.

Erghhh people those informations from the polish site can really be true....

http://homm5.gram.pl/index.php

Look at the news, the newest one is the april fool joke! It,s something about our prime ministers which says that HV should be banned in Poland.

The second one is about the expansion.

EDIT:guys it can really be true, even there is an information Aprillisowy Chochlik on the first news which means that it's the april fool joke. I don't think that they would give two april fools jokes. But who knows.-IJB

@Vel: It’s a silly announcement that obviously isn’t true. And it’s funnier than an MMX “announcement” because we MM fans have been waiting too long for MMX for an announcement made purely in jest to invoke anything but anger and disappointment, not in the least because there is no guarantee that there will EVER be one. :disagree: No laughs there. Whereas for HMM5, even if there wasn’t a chance of a second expansion, there would be for HMM6.
