Ubisoft sent today the third Chronicles of Ashan newsletter to its customers. If like myself you haven't received it yet, here is a quick summary with links, when the article is available online:

Jeff Spock and Erwan Le Breton talk about the origins of the Necromancers.

Fabrice Cambounet talks about his visits to Moscow.

Jeff tells Labyrinth why Xana asked Sareth to not bring the 7th Dragon's skull to Kha Beleth.

Liviu Galateanu talks about the Heroes V testing process.

Fabrice announces that patch 1.5 is coming soon, and announces the winners of the official mapmaking contest: Ogo, Razeriel and Datarush.

Alastair Halsby talks about Dark Messiah mapmaking, and provide tips on how to create good maps.
Important: Regarding patch 1.5, Fabrice tells us that there was a last minute change: "The tournament tool being described will not be delivered in the upcoming 1.5 patch. We decided to take more time to finetune it, and it will be delivered later."

At first I was like: Who gives a shit..?
But the Necromancer origin article was ok.
The visit to Moscow was bad. Waaay too short.
The testing process was also short and general....
To summarise, they suck! They haven't written more then they had to but worst of all, they don't tell much! The lead tester could have said what was changed due to their suggestions and what Nival refused to change but didn't....

Don't worry, it's just the type of self-ironical "something" that Romanians can have about themselves.
I didn't know H5 was tested in Bucharest In any case, that text of Gălăţeanu's sounds rather shallow to me "Oh, it's such a great opportunity; oh, the pressure and stress; oh, our suggestions were not neglected..." What the...?!

Heroes 5 testing process? What testing process? We all know what was the testing process... They released the game and wait for the millions of players to play it and give them error reports which they keep patching till this day, That what they mean?
A Third Chronicles Newsletter
@Nevermindspy Makes me wonder which is best... It's taken millions of players (according to you) this long to find all the bugs in the released version.. How long would you think it'd have taken to get the game out if it was being tested by a handfull of people?? Having said that, it's still no excuse for the "little blunders" such as spelling ect......
I THINK SO THEREFORE I AM
Re: A Third Chronicles Newsletter
No it doesn't. They could have very well done their job perfectly, reporting the bugs till the last one. If Nival didn't bother fixing them, don't blame it on the testers.ThunderTitan wrote:<Well that explains a lot.>Angelspit wrote:"<Liviu Galateanu>"
See how many bugs (and how "fast") Nival fixed through patches after the game was out (with the list of bugs to be found on any forum), and you can easily figure how things went also before the release.

If this is the Third Chronicles Newsletter about Necros, I have missed the Second One. Who could tell me, about which faction the second one told and where I could get it?

I know this Ashan Newsletter about 'The Skull of Shadows', but I thought, that this was the 1st Chronicles Newsletter. Thanks, anyway, Angelspit. Ok, I checked it out: 'Skull' was the 2nd one and the first didn't contain an Ashan Story, right?
