Ghost of the Past Mod

<img src="/http://gotp.celestialheavens.com/images ... part_1.gif" align=right vspace=10 hspace=10>There is a new mod in town and, based on its scope and ambitions, it could be to Heroes V what The Wake of Gods and Equilibris are to the previous games of the series. <a href="/http://gotp.celestialheavens.com/"><b>Ghost of the Past</b></a> is based (with permission) on Vladimir Kuzmanov's <a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/491">comic strip series</a>. Here is a list of planned features:

<ul>

<li>Renegades as a playable race;

<li>Drastic changes to the Necropolis;

<li>Different looks for male and female heroes;

<li>new neutrals, artifacts, heroes, spells and campaigns;

<li>additional features in menus and spell books;

<li>new legendary heroes, creatures and artifacts from the old series.

</ul>

The project is currently in alpha, with a beta in April. Congratulations to Vokial for the new Web site, and best of luck with the project. I sure cannot wait to learn more.

Heaven forbid Nival actually does that themselves.

Oh wait, I'm sorry. I forgot it takes them one month to make a new model. Nevermind the fact that they already have the base models in place and just need to assign them to the female heroes.



As for this project, I'm liking what I see so far. I probably wouldn't use it until Ubival stops with their expansions and patches because you just know something won't be compatible and then won't work, but after that I will definitely be checking this out.

This could indeed be great, but I caution him with each patch new problems with the mods occur whether intentional or not. So his release may need to wait until the patching process in H-V is complete.

Let's hope Nival will (finally) manage to correct the major flaws with the next patches, and not leave too much of a burdain for the modders.
