I will pay good for healthy food, but for food that isn't I don't want to pay much. Since I have reactions to cheese, I would not pay $16 dollars for it if it made my sandwiches for me. Oh yeah Winterfate. It was..unusual meeting you. Not at all what I expected. Next time lets not go to Buffalo Wild Wings. I don't handle alcohol well, especially when the server looks like that one woman did. The one with the 'autumn' (her words not mine) eyes. Must be amazing to have eyes that change colors to moods or lighting. Anyhow, sorry it didn't last that long, but I did have one to many..my brothers were not too scary were they? I know the one that goes by warchief here (ok so he is too busy working to post but hey) can intemidate a lot of people. Odd as he is just a big ol teddy bear. Anyhow I was impressed, you seemed very nice and interesting. Supprised the ladies are not all over you.

This is the original:

I can have no color, though there may be darkness

in a container it becomes all the lighter.
And here's Mytical's:

Take away from me and I grow.
When I am something, I am all of it.
Fill me and I will go away.
What am I?
Nothing about color or darkness, nothing about weight, nothing about holding stuff, nothing about containers. There's not a single clue that's the same.

In conclusion, you've no idea what you're talking about

Yours absolutely free for 9999.99 dollars, your social security number, you email address, and your credit card number. Act now! You've all seen them, you've all tore your hair out about them. Its the "How would you like a free (insert ipod, xbox, ect ect ect ect)?!" You just have to fill out a small (15 pages with 100 questions each page..yeah that is small) questionaire and say if you would like any of their sponsors goodies. Even if you manage to answer all the survey, say no to all the goodies, at the end of it you 'must' pick 2 to continue. (By now you are probably ready to sell your soul to get out of the mess). Even if you agree, good luck on getting that 'free' item.

Some are even more malicious however. No questionaire, no sponsor goodies. Just shipping and handling. Oh they will need your SSN and a Credit Card Number. Hey a Xbox 360 is worth giving that info out...right? *sarcasm inserted*.

The reason I brought this up is my dear mother, bless her clueless soul. She wanted something (which I will keep to myself) for 2 years, and I was saving up to buy her it for her birthday. (Which was in Feb and I did buy it :)). About 2 days before her birthday she comes up to me and says. "Becky, don't worry about that necklace, I found a free one." Then she wondered why I was so pale. Hopeing that somebody she knew had given her one I asked where she got it. "Oh off the internet. Just had to answer some questions and pay shipping and handling." "Becky are you breathing? Becky?"

Those 'questions' included her date of birth, place of birth, SSN, email address, and of course credit card info. Since then I have scrambled to undo the mess. Fraudulent charges from the credit card, changing her Email address, contacting government places to be aware of frauds with her ssn, birth certificate, ect. Red walls (tape would have been too easy) kept popping up to interfear, but now she is only responsible for $2000 dollars, and I am working on that ammount. Just recently, however, she has gotten notices of overdo membership fees..from the 'sponsors' of the place that contacted her originally. Of course the original contactor seems to have vanished in a puff of smoke.

Oh I could pay it and forget it, and not have any problems. It would be easier, and it would then be over..but I don't back down. Not on things like this. Just want to make sure nobody else runs into this. Whenever you see free 'high-cost' items on the internet...run run as far and as fast as you possibly can.

If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

Sorry that you're going through all that mess. Luckily, we never got hit THAT bad! A friend of mine actually DOES get freebies (small stuff) from taking those surveys and what not. He's been trying for years to be a "Secret Shopper." He told my teenager about it. My son tried filling out the forms (No personal information). We got spamed to death. Then *I* did the ultimant stupid thing, and started clicking those "Take me off this list" options. Oh lord. We get 200 pieces of spam per day and don't have a working spam filter. I don't EVEN bother with our 'real' email anymore. I've got Yahoo & Mail.com for corespondance.

I love when they try to pull the "you must update your ebay information through this link" scam. What makes it amusing to me is that I don't have an ebay account.

I used to get those, along with PayPal ones, all the time. I'd like to be part of a special task force that tracks those bastards down and pummels them with rubber hoses while Michael Jackson's "Beat It" is played over a portable boom box.

I once received a 30 page document that would have allowed me to join in a class-action suit against Paypal. That's something you don't really expect to get in your email.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

Mytical wrote:Hey I may have been a little..inebriated, but if a girl had been acting like that to me, I'd have been hitting on her in minutes. You didn't notice that with the other 3 guys there you were the one she was 'bumping' into? I know my brothers are very good tippers, and yeah you tipped decent, but with my twin (who makes $18/hr straight time and works over 75 hrs a week) who tips about what the drinks are worth extra it was a good indication she was not flirting for the tips.
Quoted for reference...

Well, I have been called slow (in those issues) by many people before. I guess she was flirting with me :D.

Now that you mention it, she was kind of cute...
Oh well, at least I have my...prospects over here too :D.

Well we did start drinking right when we arrived..at least I did. Things got a little blurry fast. I could be remembering things wrong. Good thing CW volunteered to be DD. They said something about me and a brunette, but I don't remember...and they ain't saying much more.
