It seems pretty clear to me... he wants to sleep with you. And he pretty much said that if you don't do it, your position is threatened (i.e you'll get fired)

It's typical for these frustrated bosses to abuse of their little power in order to get laid. You can acuse him of sexual harrasment. Although from what you tell he was pretty careful in his speech... and we all know that these types of problems are never easily solved.

Question: have you been talking to somebody else about this, outside this forum, or do you intend to?

Indeed not. If I would be you I would probably start to seeking for another job or used some ("political or what I had possesed") force to keep this man afar of my life.

That's very nice you gous, but he's not that kind of guy. And he's only 24 years old. We're good friends. I was just surprised that there are some employees I'm not allowed to sleep with.

I didn't mean to implicate that he's horassing me cause he really isn't. Sorry :S

I just wondered if there are other work places where certain co-workers are a no no? :)

Sorry for putting it this way, but this is bullshit. There isn't such a rule anywhere, and there never has been.
Or at least, in really really strict places, all sexual relations are forbidden, but frankly I cannot think of such a place. But the existance of people you are allowed to sleep with and people you are not... well... that makes me laugh. Now I know how a person like this thinks, because I know a few people that dream of being in a situation like this (and maybe soon they will be).

You should be honest with yourself. He basically told you that the single person in the store you are allowed to sleep with is him (the other one is a woman so she doesn't count). Don't you find this a bit bizare?

Yeah... he's your friend.... riiiight. How many times do I have to state on this forum that there is no frienship between a man and a woman. For a man, if the girl is remotely good looking she's just a target.

That's may happen for "various" reasons. Mostly you can break such conviction or ignore it when you get to know to this reasoning. ie if it's valid or not.

From that points, yes, it happens. Reason: just people. Solution: per human based :D

Friendship is possible in every way, for example, you may ask him why. Mostly I started with that....

Friendship is only possible if none of them finds the other sexually attractive.

So basically the guy must be a very shy dork and the girl really ugly and fat in order for this to work :D

@Milla

do you recognise yourself and your "friend" in the description above? :p

Vel just pointed out a good reason why my friend and I are just friends.
I just thought it was a very weird rule.
I may have to call my boss and ask her ;|

EDIT: Don't write "friend" like that. He's not a perv. He's my good friend.

You're just innocent, Milla.
Interesting... you remind me of someone... a girl I haven't seen since I left the place I was before... the poor dear, she was really naive too... I wonder what she's doing right now...

I will stress a thing I said for emphasis:

He basically told you that the single person in the store you are allowed to sleep with is him (the other one is a woman so she doesn't count).

I did not say he is a perv... maybe he just does not know another way to express his feelings for you...

I'm not just naïve. I know this guy very well and I can tell, what you think of him. Not necessarily a perv but at least someone with a scrupolous mind. And he's not.

And I suppose you might have an explanation for the fact that he told you that you are not allowed to sleep with anybody in your workplace, but him, and should you not respect this you risk to be fired?

Behind a nice guy usually hides a shy person that does not know how to get what he wants. And when the frustration gets too big, he just uses the bit of power he has in order to get it... life sucks I know...

Another explanation could be that he would be jealous if you would sleep with someone else in the store, or feel completely embarrased. And in this case too it comes down to the same thing basically...

But we can dream, can't we?

That's reason enough to classify him as a perv already.

Hey Okrane, sounds like she's not allowed to sleep with any subordinates, they guy might just not be bright enough to explain that right (any friend of Milla's).

Here is actually more explanations, not involving the idea that the guy is trying some Machivelli machinations over Milla. And here is not currently enough information to solve that yet.

@Okrane: Are you seriously going to argue him being a sex hungering jealous, power abusive guy when you don't know him at all and I tell you, he's a good guy who's not having feelings for me?!!!! :| :| :|

Besides, I'm not stupid and would never expose myself to such a bad working environment. I may be the innocent type but I am not dim and I can look out for myself. Thanks for the concern though.

@TT: She's not bad looking either :devious:

@Milla

No, I'm not. He's your friend, or your problem... I couldn't care less...
I just argued the facts. If you do not want to believe them, or at least keep them in mind it is up to you.

I mean, I hate to be right, but usually I am... and I was right about you being innocent even though we don't know each other very well. The main thing is that I've seen this type of situation before a few times, and it seems typical for me, and as TT plastically put it: he's a guy! 'nuff said...

If it bothers you, let's drop it. Although I am curious to know how this evolves... keep me posted pls.

I had one question for you: is the forum the only place you've spoken about this?

@okrane: I'll keep it in mind. And will let you know if anything bad happens. Though I doubt it.

Because it seems a bit strange to me that someone would make this type of confidences to some foreign people across the world on a public forum, in stead of his/her good friends.
And I was curious to know whether you are the type of person that speaks with everyone about her life or you really trust the people here more than the "real people" near you...
