Mapmaking competition

Unread postby Vlaad II » 29 Oct 2006, 07:54

It's been a YEAR since the mapmaking competition ended. I understand the 3.6 patch is not ready yet, but could you at least announce the results of the contest?

I have not asked them to release the patch, but announce the results of the competition.

God knows.

To Vlaad II:
Ne pravdaj se s njim jer je čisti spammer... vjeruj mi. Nema šanse da netko može tako loše govoriti engleski.
I am back and ready to... ready to... post things.

Iznenadio bi se kada bi znao.

Wow.

Well, happy anniversary! LOL

This case is worse than MapHaven's fiasco in 2005.

A year ago you wondered in a private message why Grumpy Old Wizard and Rakne Fe hadn't submitted their maps to your competition but decided to publish them instead. I was puzzled myself back then, but now I understand them completely. There was a lot of buzz about H5 and lots of people were still playing H4. A year later, this subforum is a ghost town.

You can release your patch whenever you can/want to, but you really should have released 3.6 alpha as 3.52 or something with the awarded scenarios... and then moved on with your work. Lots of people who were around back then have gone (heck, some fans have already abandoned H5).

Do you understand that mapmakers had spent months creating and testing maps, but nobody has been able to play them? And it was up to you.

I'm still here. I lurk about silently most everyday. :)

Yep, I'm one of those.

Yeah, Dalai & Lost … even though I didn't submit a map, I'm still watching & wating for Equilibris 3.6. Don't abandon us now. A little news would go a long way and be very encouraging. What's up guys??

I hope seeing your name mentioned among the winners lessens the burden of waiting :)

Keep it until we make new version of map editor available. Then, after implementing new ideas, we'll be happy to have it tested again ;)

Happy second anniversary! :-D

Although the competition ended exactly two years ago, the Equilibris team still hasn't published the maps.

(They haven't published anything in three years, but that's not my business.)

See ya next year - same place, same time? :D

simultaneous turns in Heroes 1-4? Are you crazy?

I don't want any element of that desecration of Heroes series (Heroes 5) in previous games
