My husband once spent the evening picking off rats in our kitchen with a pellet gun. When he ran out of amo, he beat the last rat to death with a wooden spoon while holding it trapped by the tail with a cabnet door. Does that count?

(Shortly after this encounter, we put the dog in a 'boarding house' and left for a week's vaccation. We left enough Decon in the house to kill a small 3rd world country. Never had rats again.

Side Note - NEVER - EVER buy a house located between a rail road track, an open creek/ditch and run down, old green houses!)

With a shotgun. It wasn't mine! I was just trying it and I accidentally shot a bird :ashamed:
But no, guns are not a common sight here in Denmark at all. I've only seen that one...like...ever 8|

cool... one time, one shot, one kill... beginner's "luck" or maybe you have found your true vocation :p

We don't have guns here neither... but there are times when I crave for one... I have some corridor neighbors which tend to get drunk too often and too late at nights... they would make such a good target practice :D

Yes, maybe this needs to be put to the test :devious: My garden is full of birds..

No, that's cruel. I use my skills in UT instead (somehow it's just more fun than killing birds :D )

I agree to that, in fact it is my favorite FPS (and the only one I play, in fact)

I should rephase that part about wanting a gun... a flak cannon sounds much more appealing to me now... just close combat slaghter :D

Too bad this scientific network I am in does not allow me to play it online...

totally... death to all those quake lovers... they do not know what they are talking about...

I played it since I was 16... Right now I love UT2004 (and waiting for 2007) but I really can't find people to play it with... so I content myself in beating bots in the godlike difficulty...

Strangely, this is what is happening to me when I think about it... I start wanting to play it...

still I must admit that it is pretty bad for my eyes since it is a very rapid game... so I try not no play too much of it..

@Milla
Then you are a worthy slayer in your own right! I am proud of you! :proud: Poor birdie... But the true slayer is Scarlet's husband! :D No need for pesticides!
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

I don't hate Quake and I have 1, 2 and 3 but never played any of them for more than half an hour. I've thrown them away now I think. I just recently got UT2004. It's amazing!! But I'm very excited about 2007. Should be absolutely a$$-kicking :-D
I can't brack about playing Godlike difficulty though :x

The onslaught mode in UT2004 is really something... I mean, the new special weapons are really cool, I regret not having the Grenade Launcher in normal deathmatch games. And the Leviathan is unstopable...

Plus the mobility of your character is what I really enjoy:
dodge, double jump, wall bounce and elevator jump and just rain hell on your oponents...

I never participated in a tournament with real people though...

One time I had the possibility, but I had other plans at that moment, and my friends never play this game with me since I give them such a whoopass...

about godlike... well... it makes a long time since I played so I guess I won't be up for it either... but I guess as in any other domain, practice makes perfect... and additionally after some time you begin to anticipate the moves the AI does... I mean, it is limited just like anyone of us...

There is a CTF map I never managed to beat(at least on higher difficulties)

It is a 1v1 map, and you each start near the oponent's flag and you have to cross just a narrow corridor to deliver it...
can't remember the name, but it's like a small adrenaline rush...

from UT2004 yeah...

In the "campaigns" if you can call them that, I always lost money there in challenges... especially when going against Brock... since I was always trying to get his girl Lauren from him :-D ....because she's really helpful :D

You shouldn't "brack" about your spelling either. Last time i played UT2k4 was at the local electronic expo last year... nothing to brag about really, but i did hold my own considering how little i played FPS's the last couple of years.

Who asked you anyway? I realized I misspelled it. Just didn't bother changing it..

@Okrane: It seems to me that Laurens breasts get bigger and bigger each time a new version of the game is released ;) :devious:
