My point exactly; Archangels will pummel ArchDevils any time if both have equal numbers in their roster. However, take away 10 AAs and perhaps Archdevils will have an "equal" battle.

This was clear all along! The AA's have superiority in everything, but the constant damage helps the most. More interesting would be a battle between an AA and black or a titan...

In HoMM3 Archangels smash every other unit with one exception though: Ancient Behemoth. And while game goes forward and skills increase, the advantage of Behemoth grows, because for every +1 bonus to defense skill gained by Behemoth, Archangel would get only +0,2 due to Behemoth's special ability. However, it's funny that there is one unit which wins the duel against Ancient Behemoth - the Titan (because he has a shot before hand-to-hand fight). Archangel smashes Titan and loses against Ancient Behemoth, but Ancient Behemoth loses against Titan.

Well, apart from this, it is obvious that Archangel was the best unit, as he could resurrect allies, was the fastes unit and a flier (in contrary to Ancient Behemoth).
