Oh, just saw that yesterday, it has completed 1 year of membership on the new boards!

On August, it'll be 4 years of RT membership.

Funny thing. It's just enough to make friendship, and real friendship, isn't it? How many local friends of ours we know for over 4 years? I say that for myself, since I'm in this city for just 2 years...

Praise be to Friendship.

that's very true, though I probably only posted once or twice (if at all on the old board) I have been a member for maybe 2 years, but an active one for just short of a year .... it's true even for me about the friendships, even though I don't truly know any of you, there is a bond

Yep, and that's an interesting issue. There are things written here about myself that most of my local friends may not know (here and the other RT board, of course

), and people who I can talk more than here - well, that's mostly because I'm not a talkative person, then I happen to write a lot.

So, whichever is my mood at the moment, I'm always happy to have somewhere to share a time by writing. On the real world, I relax by going to the gym or staring at a tree.

Pretty much how I feel. You guys are strangers practically and yet you are not. I can claim to know some tidbits of some people's real life and the general way of thinking or acting and I actually like to pass some of my time among them and share things or ideas. It's not heroes why I remain and being mostly in the campfire should say some things. I rather care for the community and I can't say I feel lonely in my life either(well not most of the time

)

I want to believe that I can call at least a few people here friends even though I may never meet them. And certainly hope they feel the same

It's funny. Yesterday I was thinking that I've been a member of the Heroes community (in its various forms) since probably 1995 or so. And so I've "known" some Heroes fans for over 1/3 of my life. A handful of the original people I interacted with way back when still hang around here (Caradoc, Qqd, etc.). Funny how much a computer game can impact your life.

A game is but an excuse for people to get in touch with each other. In my life the people I have met that mean something to me it was in most cases due to a seemingly random coincidence, being in a specific place, talking about a specific thing etc.
One of my good friends I got to know after I opened my book in class and he saw a printed armageddon's blade wallpaper. The previous evening I was at the guy next door with whom we played heroes and he had printed that to try out his new printer. Somehow it ended up in that book

I doubt I would have known him otherwise as we didn't talk much nor seemed to have much in common.
I'd say it's funny how chaos can affect your life, how many good things that have happened because of it and how many you have missed for the same reason...I guess we'll never really know!
