I purchased it from the digital store and finished. Nothing very impressive, not bad quests, just one new monster (aurorans), few good dungeons, some nice armor - that's it. If I would have to compare this quest series with Raven Rock in TES3: Bloodmoon, Raven Rock quest line beats "Knights of the Nine" in small pieces.

Why would you compare an expansion and a add-on?

Because the Raven Rock quests in Bloodmoon is not the whole expansion - there's still the whole island, the main quest etc. I just compared the mining colony quests with the Knights of the Nine quests and the latter seem to lose. While Raven Rock quests are about building a new mining colony, Knights of the Nine quests restore a faction and a few buildings - that's why I thought they could be compared. The Knights of the Nine quests were a bit boring - but maybe that's because I enjoyed Morrowind more than Oblivion.

Because they're synonyms maybe? Nah, that couldn't be it.

Yes, but:

1. the Raven Rock quest is worth half of expansion, that means about 20$ which is more then KotN which is worth 10$.
2. Raven Rock quest is probably the best quest in the serial anyway. It will be long time until it is beaten :D

In TES genre add-on and expansion are not the same thing.

i'm definitely buying morrowind with the expansions on amazon. its at best buy for 20 but screw that noise; its 14 on amazon AND i don't have to support them. always makes me feel good when i buy from anywhere else.

what are some newer similar to TES games?
