Ubisoft survey on Dark Messiah
<IMG hspace=10 src="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/images ... bisoft.JPG" align=right vspace=10>Now that more than three months have gone since Dark Messiah was released, Ubisoft has sent out a survey to those who have registered at Ubi.com and have accepted to be contacted by Ubisoft.<BR><BR>With the help of this survey Ubisoft wants to know have you played the Dark Messiah demo and/or the game, what did you like most, what would you change in the game, what do you think about multiplayer and other typical poll questions. While I was filling the answers and philosophizing what's the purpose of this interrogatory (to remind the M&M fans about the game, or simply PR?), one of the final questions interrupted my contemplation:<BR><BR><EM>"If a sequel to Dark Messiah was to be released, would you be interested in it?"</EM><BR><BR>Alright, there you are. I can only hope Ubisoft will find a good use of the gathered results. Meanwhile, you might want to check your Ubisoft account if you have accepted to receive Ubisoft exclusive content about the Might and Magic brand, which also includes the M&M newsletters which a lot of people seem to have missed. The process is simple - go to <A href="http://www.ubi.com">Ubi.com</A>, login, click "Edit", retype your password, tick "Please update me with exclusive content and offers about Ubisoft titles", select the "Might and Magic" box and submit your changes.

I would certainly play a Dark Messiah sequel, but I would expect (or maybe I should say 'demand') major improvements in the storyline area. I don't want the Might and Magic brand to become a sticker than you can put on any product.

Well I normally get these but I never received this one!! sniff... I never bought the DM due to all the flustrated fans comments when it was released.. but I still should have got this survey because I am registered M&M's H-V and the expansion.. The last thing I got from UBI was last months one on the Chronicles of Ashan..

If my computer can handle it perfectly on the highest settings, then yes. Otherwise no.
That's a demand I got for ALL games. If the don't run perfect on the highest settings on 1280x1024 then I'll wait until I have upgraded.
For the record I haven't tried DM.

>"If a sequel to Dark Messiah was to be released, would you be interested in it?"
No. First one was enough. Kicking-Killing-Running-Kicking-Killing-Swapping-Swapping-Swapping - all over again.
I was bored with this after 2 hours of playing.

I'm guessing you only tried normal difficulty (which should be renamed to Easy or Very Easy). Hardcore is much more challenging (although it can still get easy in the end).
Anyway, does anyone know of a way for those who did not receive the E-mail to take this survey?

*When asked why I didn't buy the retail game, I noticed they didn't have a "my computer couldn't handle it" option.*
Exactly. That is what I would have said, too. But they never gave the chance for that reply.

ouch, a sequel to a mediocre action game that my computer has exactly a -57% chance of running? I just want M&M X.
Back from the dead? Maybe.

I would buy a second one if:
- There was a buy/sell system, not a pick up/drop system
- It was way longer(I beat the first in 8 hours)
- It wasn't so straightforward
Even if the actual game wasn't that great, as long as it had a good multiplayer, I'd join in. I play DM multi all the time, and it's a blast.
"GIVE US MMX!!"
I wouldn't ask for that just yet. The last thing I want is for them to rush out a MMX and screw everything up. Let them take their time.
And, chance are, if you can't run DM now, you probably won't be able to run MMX, because they will probably make it with amazing graphics as well.

Good point. The system requirements of Dark Messiah should be a major concern for the people who stick to the old school RPGs. Since my computer isn't enough for Neverwinter Nights 2, I can't imagine what it would be like for a RPG released in 2008.

Well, you people (who seem to stuck in 1995) aren't the target group by a longshot.
Getting tempted to fire up one of the M&M games on my SNES emulator. Got a feeling I'll laugh at it though....or I'll just try and find a video of it at youtube.

well it'd be nice IMO for a robust MM offering, a GREAT H VI, DM II and MM X would all be a good thing IMO
