Did you like Buffy? Coz Wheadon is writing Astonishing, and it's pretty good. And Brubaker's on Uncanny.Metathron wrote:
So it's no good, huh?
It's the best show of it's kind atm, so watch it, maybe they'll make even better ones.Metathron wrote: I watched some more episodes and the show is getting better, though I can't really say I'm hooked.

I think "put a stake through his heart" would be putting it more aptly, considering the context.burn him at the stake!!!!
I've only seen a few incomplete episodes of Buffy, so perhaps I just didn't give enough of a chance to the show...

Hey, Xena and Hercules were good... for about 5-6 episodes. Buffy lasted longer, but it did start to wear thin at the end. Still better then alot of crap out there.stefan.urlus wrote:I will certainly grant you Xena and Hercules .... but Buffy?
Also, anyone see the new BSG ep? Felix is so a cylon.

Could be. But remember how he helped Baltar build the Cylon detecter. Maybe he rigged it. What makes me think so is how when D'Anna saw the final 5 she recognized one and said something like she should have known it was whoever it was. How many Gallactica officers did she interact with?ThunderTitan wrote: Also, anyone see the new BSG ep? Felix is so a cylon.

Watch Firefly, it's another great Wheadon show.

Ok - LOST is back!
So... Was last night's episode a total flash back for Desmond who saw 'the future' on the island while he was still living in England. Was it all just a 'dream' while he was still on the Island?
(I'm going for lucid dream while knocked out after turning the key.)
But WHY are the writers going to kill off Charlie? I love him!
(But my fave is still Hurly! - And Sawyer. *drool* )

Meh, good riddance. Whining little maggot.ScarlettP wrote:But WHY are the writers going to kill off Charlie? I love him!
Now, is it any coincidence that there are two characters (JOHN LOCK(e)and Desmond DAVID HUME) named after English empiricist philosophers? I'm waiting for a George Berkeley to show up...
Anyway, I'm not sure yet what the significance is of Desmond's character named after Hume. Being an empiricist, I don't think he would have gone for the whole "universe course correcting" thing. Any thoughts out there?

There's Danielle Rousseau, as well...
I thought Flashes Before Your Eyes was awesome. If some viewers lost faith in the show, this latest episode ought to have totally reclaimed it. Excellent acting from Dez and Pen, and also a great cameo by the venerable Fionnula Flanagan.

A while back I speculated that the off-island sequences might not be simple flashbacks, and this episode suggests there may be something to that. Desmond's may just be the most extreme of the lot. There's been something fishy about all of them -- too many coincidental meetings, too many unseen forces leading people around.
I think his 'See you in another life, brother' line has also become more significant. It would be very interesting to find out what kind of machine that key activated.
I just hope to hell we are not looking at some parallel reality scenario. I'd prefer the 'Matrix' theory to that.
Oh, and hasn't Charlie about run out of use, storywise. He beat his addiction and reconciled with Claire. What's left for him to do? (Speaking of Claire, isn't she looking good lately?)
