In what way do H4 battles have more ways to be resolved then in the other games?
I am not sure what you mean, so I will just discuss it a bit with myself

Outcomes of battles - win, loose, retreat, surrender or both loose.

There are different ways of doing those things in H IV, than i Heroes III for example, but I cant really see more possible outcomes. Ok, there is actually one more - your potential enemies join you. But that is also not a new thing. (Actually corret me if I am mistaken, I dont think you can avoid the battle totally in heroes IV, since the whole stack never joins you). And in principle it would also count as "win".

I is of course possible to avoid a battle in HIV by sneaking by you enemy with stealth skill, but I would not count it as "battle being resolved"

So I guess my answer to your question would be big fat 0. But I know I am missing something here.

Yeah, i'm stumped too... coz i really belived i already told you what i wanted and that GC said i was wrong. Stupid AoE spells.

@kitcat0

No, it's just Win, Lose and Draw. The rest are just variations of the 3.

So, who said Draw is next, for better or for worse. And GC, i'm waiting for a H3 screen of a draw.

You meant a draw? Ok. Besides damage spells (armageddon, chain lightening) that hurt your own creatures there are more options of a draw. Very common thing that AI does in Heroes III is winning battle with only summoned creatures left. Which means automatic loss after the battle. Or there are only resurrected creatures (without earth magic skill) left after "winning" a battle. There are actually more options of a draw in H III, but I wont start mentioning all of them right now.

So I was actually right when I said there are ZERO more ways as an answer :P

But I guess it was Mytical who said drawl (meaning a draw), so it is your turn to ask, Mytical.

To be fair, I think H4 is the only game that recognizes a draw- the other games will just say "you lost".

You're just saying that so you won't have to get a screen.

It is easy to make a screen. It will just say that your forces suffer a bitter defeat. But right after your hero dissapears, dissapears enemy hero too. I actually had a test map where I only had one hero and enemy too. Both died because of armageddon. Then I was eliminated from the game and next message said that congratulations, you won the map. It was funny.

Next time i'll just ask what extra screen can pop up at the end of a battle in H4. Sound good?

I am better at answering then asking so I will ask a simple question to get the process going again :). How many Haven Heroes (including campain only) are there in HoMM5, not counting any introduced (if any) in Hammers of Fate.

In HoMM 5 a certain bug can happen in one of the single scenarios. Strangley, it happens only on rare occasions, and has two effects. The first one is a typo in the text. What's the other bug and what scenario is it in?

I can also say that I have no idea. I played Heroes V campaigns a bit, but that was it. I hope someone who knows anything about Heroes V will figure it out.

It's not in a campaign, it's in a single scenario (Like Griffin's Last Flight).

Oh man, this is a little unfair - like "there is a bug in Heroes V - which is it?"

Can you share with some additional details? ;)

Here's a big clue: the bug happens in a movie.

Nope.

Another clue: It's a graphic bug.
