raju wrote:Wow :-D this naga town creatures sound terrific! By the way is this just a heroes community idea and creation or is this a creation of Nival?

It was made pretty much by herroes community - every one that had ideas mention them in thread then there was voting for the best ones etc....

So, NIVAL has nothing to do with it :P

I KNEW it! :D

Those are some pretty nice ideas the community thought, btw (proves that Nival should pay more attention to us fans ;) ).

Good one guys :D (to all members of the heroes community who contributed to the idea of a naga town). And of course I support Winterfate in his view that Nival should pay more attention to fans (I feel that the fans are coming up with ideas for towns that Nival should seriously consider). By the way are there any unit images around (for the naga town i mean)?

To Majkel: No offense but I feel that you have combined armies of three different towns into one faction. Don't know about others but I think that barbarians would be more suitable for the Stronghold faction. As for the other creatures I think you have come up with a very suitable concept for a Swamp faction (similar to fortress in H3).

Wyverns are extinct... and the gorgons legally changed their names back to Catoblepas.

wikipedia wrote:The catoblepas (from the Greek καταβλέπω, 'to look downwards') is a legendary creature from Ethiopia, described first by Pliny the Elder and later by Claudius Aelianus. It has the body of a buffalo and a head of a hog. Its back were full of scales that protected the beast, and its head was always pointing downwards. Its stare or breath can either turn people into stone, or kill them.

Pliny (Natural History, 8.77) described it as a mid-sized creature, sluggish, with a heavy head and a face always turned to the ground. He thought its gaze, like that of the basilisk, was lethal, making the heaviness of its head quite fortunate.

Claudius Aelianus (On the Nature of Animals, 7.6) provided a fuller description: the creature was a mid-sized herbivore, about the size of a domestic bull, with a heavy mane, narrow, bloodshot eyes, scaly backs and shaggy eyebrows. The head was so heavy that the beast could only look down. In his description, the animal's gaze was not lethal, but its breath was poison, since it ate only poisonous vegetation.
This is also a monster in D&D, but also in video games such as Castlevania or Final Fantasy.

Actualy, community made an orc town as well... but i dont want to ruin the fun :)

Btw, most units are not endless lizardman versions... they are endless naga versions :P

Anyway.. in the end it is just made for fun since by now everyone should know that nival wont accept anything that doesnt come from their own ranks

Huh, really...what a surprise!! But werent the Glacier town proposal the forefather for the Fortress town? There was a contest were a guy won it, that the best town proposal would give at least inspiration to Nival for making a similar town. Though you have right, own ranks, own means of towns, only variations from one race...jeeeez 8|

And who said that a lizardman can't be a barbarian ?? Honestly , I just couldn't find a suitable name for the lizard man who could fight with two swords , so I decided for barbarians .

What is the third faction ??

A better way to divide nagas:

A cup naga
B cup naga
C cup naga
D cup naga
E cup naga
F cup naga

+ a filler.

That's something Nival could do (six units of the same race in the same castle :) ).

Please Nival :beg:, do NOT pull that stunt again!
(homogenous race faction :( ).

If I see another race like that I'll probably puke...

Wouldn't it be better if a castle has mixed units? (that is, a mixture of a race and creatures associated with the race).

Precisely! Which is why I don't want Nival to make a "6-naga" faction for the next expansion.
