Does mean I can never actually discuss my initial ideas besides basic, but it was a decent sum of money.

I'll just ask this then . Are you happy with your decision? If you are, then that's all that matters (you can think up other ideas...I'm rooting for ya' ).My problem is, though I retain the rights, it is no longer 'mine'. Jeesh, Daemian, chill! What we had was a Christmas thread, not a Catholic Christmas thread. And there's really no need to make a difference, nor for you to keep on with that Orthodox part. Like I said, there are Orthodox churches that celebrate Nativity on December 25th, like "Catholics" do. Don't see what's with all the fuss about other Orthodox churches using another calendar.

If this keeps up one or more of the following will occur:
1. Kalah will blow an artery (I can tell he's starting to get mad).
2. DL will get banned.
3. Both of the above
But seriously DL, is there any specific reason why you're being even more spammerific than usual?

The topic is about another christmas that a lot of people are celebrating. And when did it become the rule that the creator of the thread has to be the main poster in there?I created the foreign language thread, but when was my last post in it?Im I now under some sort of obligation to post there every couple of pages or else it will be closed?
Which reminds me,do you think I should go back to the argument with Banedon,in the middle of which I was interupted?

Then all's well Kalah .
Why doesn't somebody open a Misc. Holiday Thread? There you could discuss country-specific holidays.
For example, Jan. 6 is Dia de Reyes (Three Kings Day) over here in Puerto Rico (and other parts of Latin America).
The thread below explains it better than I can:
http://www.inside-mexico.com/ReyesMagos.htm
That's how Mexicans celebrate it. We don't celebrate it much differently (tradition after all ).

This is the third time I'm saying it: 25.12 is not the Catholic Christmas. It is the Gregorian calendar Christmas. There are Orthodox churches that use the Gregorian calendar, therefore you're insistance in calling that thread "Catholic Christmas" is rather unfounded.DL wrote:It got closed after the catholic christams. If it remained open,I wouldnt open a new thread.
Plus, I don't even think the thread-starter even thought about these differences, and neither did the mods when it was closed; the holidays were over, there was no more need for that thread.
You could have kept to that topic before starting to proclaim the advantages of atheism, such as double Christmas and double New Year. The topic is about another christmas that a lot of people are celebrating.

90% of the serbs call it a catholic christmas. And like Sauron said:"when in rome..."theLuckyDragon wrote: This is the third time I'm saying it: 25.12 is not the Catholic Christmas. Actually I did think about it,and I know that not all orthodox christians celebrate it,but like I said above, its meaningless to me.The hollydays may be over for you,but they sure arent here.theLuckyDragon wrote: Plus, I don't even think the thread-starter even thought about these differences, and neither did the mods when it was closed; the holidays were over, there was no more need for that thread.
Again,I didnt open the topic for me and only me,but for everyone that celebrates it.Just like the foreign language thread.I opened it for everyone to use,not just serbs. My personal thoughts arent important in such cases.theLuckyDragon wrote: You could have kept to that topic before starting to proclaim the advantages of atheism, such as double Christmas and double New Year.

All better now.winterfate wrote:If this keeps up one or more of the following will occur:

2. DL will get banned. And TT too, wouldn't want to brake the trend.
And tLD, Christmas is always on the 25.12, it just falls on different days based on the calendar used and the year.
You know, it's quite a shame we aren't taught in school about other calenders used around the world.
