Units splti?

Unread postby The Mysterious » 03 Jan 2007, 22:19

Hi again!

So uh, can the units in army be split?
You know like in HoMM3, split 10 units into two groups of 5.

Is it possible? If so, how?
I haven't gotten to fully understand, just installed. ;)

IIRC, it's done with the Shift key.

Shift and drag to an empty space.

Edit:
TOO SLOW! :(

I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

Is there any way to split troops during the pre-battle-setup-phase?

Yep.Use the shift thingy on the portraits, not the creatures on the battlefield.

Note that you cannot have more than 7 stacks, so if you have seven different troops, then you cannot split a stack in combat.

If you have 2 or more stacks of the same type, you *can* combine them and split a different stack.

But maybe you can choose for a certain stack not to enter combat and then split another stack? Btw, I found the ability to remove certain stacks from combat a useful one in some cases...

No, because you split it using your army slots, not the battlefield space, thus if you have seven slots taken, you can't split in any way.
