To be fair, GC, EVERYONE would have problems to balance a game with so radically different factions (racials, heroes, creatures, ABILITIES).

Why should we care how much problems Ubival has with certain features? We have to pay for that goddamn game! They are not doing us a favor. Why should we accept their lame excuses, and what's even worse, even find some new ones, to aid their pathetic atempts?
Veldryn 15:15 And Vel found a dirty old jawbone of a walrus and put forth his hand, and took it, and in his unholy rage, he slew thirty four thousand men and children therewith.

I'd agree with it if it was something we should expect them to get right we were discussing - like balancing might or magic - but it's not. It's a "feature" some people think would be cool, but wouldn't add anything to the game except drain efforts that could be better spent polishing the game.

I would like to see a variable size map system based on the terrain around the unit being attacked. An attack along a road with the sides blocked could be on a small battlemap, an attack on an area blocked on one side could be medium sized battlemap, and an attack on an open area would be on a large battle map. Of course the actual choice of maps could be more complicated to allow for long/narrow or short/wide maps based on the direction of attack and surrounding landscape. This would allow players to "choose thier battles" (ha ha ha). But it's probably too late for anything like that anyway.
