Interplay Back from the Grave With 'FallOut' MMORPG

A recent SEC filing offers the first sign of live in quite a while from once famed publisher/developer Interplay, apparently getting ready to start production on a Fallout MMOG in January 2007. Set in the highly recognized Fallout post Nuclear Apocalyptic world giving consumers an ongoing virtual experience of today's life as if the cold war, which lasted for the best part of the second half of last century, had led to a nuclear disaster. The development budget is set for $75 million dollar and is scheduled to last until 2010, indicating approx when we should expect it in stores. Time will tell ...
damn... 75 million $ and 3-4years of development thats something.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH 8|

Now that sounds like something I'd like to try. Hope it comes to be successfully. That is, they have to stay true to the original Fallout games. Censorship and "making it more like WoW" will not be looked kindly upon I daresay.

Interplay sold to Bethesda the rights to make single-player Fallout RPGs but kept the rights to make a MMORPG.

75 milions for a game! omg, the game industry starting to lose
control I think :ill:

Anyway, I would prefer to hear news for fallout3 thought, so many
mmos are coming out already that I'm starting to believe that they
will forgot the single-player rpgs in the end...

Interplay is just being pathatic. Without BlackIsle they can never catch the atmosphere of the orignal fallouts. It will be a weak attempt that the true fans will loath.

I can give bethesda a chance. The only worry I have is the story and dialogue system which the elderscrolls severely lacks.
