That sentence means "Beware, the Turks are coming!" It's rather cliché in Romanian -- in the Middle Ages we used to be invaded by the Turks a lot. In fact, "turc" in Romanian has come to mean "person who cannot be reasoned with" or "barbarian".

I had an Albanian girlfriend once. She used to teach me some words for everyday usage and some tongue twisters. She said I was very good at it :D It's amazing how I can still remember them! One of them was pretty tough:

Tharkui thieve thuret me thupra thane thon thit therenne thertore me thik therese.

I remember what it meant but I probably sucked in writing 8|

Glumeste el ca romanii sunt toti tigani... dar din pacate e cam trist dar adevarat... cel putin asta e prejudecata prin vestul asta "insorit"
Adica mi s-a cam luat mie de cati "romani" vad pe la metrou pe aici...

Si nu stiu cum sa zic...autohtonii astia de pe aici in fata nu iti zic nimic, sau unii mai zic in gluma ca "e multi tigani, bre, si e naspa"... dar preconceptia asta exista si uneori e greu sa le scoti oamenilor din cap ceea ce le-a intrat deja...

Unde era faz... in Spania parca. Cica facuse nush care un cantec despre cum romanii fura etc. si arata la TV "romanii" de acolo. Nu era nici unu care sa nu fie tigan. Nu ca n-ar fi romanii hotii oricum... :devil:

Bine... si unul dintre cei mai buni prieteni ai mei de aici e spaniol... deci pana la urma depinde si de caracterul omului.... dar totusi... toti coloratii astia fac dracului tara si natia de rusine...

Multi sunt ignoranti si nu-i intereseaza... si mai mult sunt si victimele stirilor false sau prost formulate/interpretate... pai citeam recent un articol in The Sun in care zicea ca o sa ii invadam pe englezi dupa intrarea in UE si ca o sa aducem epidemii de SIDA... si procentual vorbind cred ca avem cam o treime din cazurile lor...
