Crystal Dragon

Unread postby Escaton » 09 Dec 2006, 12:35

I was looking in Creatures Abilities and i saw this:

Crystal Scale - Crystal Dragon is immune to direct creature killing abilities such as Harm Touch, Vorpal Sword, Deadeye Shot, etc

Is there a Crystal Dragon in H5? If there is where can i find him?

He was supposed to be in the original release but was left out eventually.I don't think you can find him anywhere unless they decide to 'revive' him in an expansion.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

There was a really cool girl who went by Qrystal Dragon. Haven't heard from her in ages, though.

there are several new spells hidden in the datafiles for HOF that they never finished either.

here's a few as a teaser:

sorrow (mass morale reducer)
vampirism (any creature this is cast on gets the same abilities as vampire)
blade barrier (does damage to meleers that pass through it, and creates a barrier to ranged attacks so they do half damage)
arcane crystal (? looks like some kind of blocking spell)

these have all the features necessary to be able to be assigned, including even icons for the spells in the spellbook, but for some reason when you try to cast them, nothing happens.

oh well.

yes, but go figure, i don't read every thread on this site.

as to whether those will appear in the next expansion or not... i don't think simply because you find traces of them in the current data files that you can conclude that.

there are other spells also hidden in the files that DO work if you assign them to a hero or creature. In fact, one of these was also hidden in the datafiles in the original h5.

see if you can find a post that details it for you.

Judging by the Crystal Dragon i'd say no.

True, but the fact that Sir Charles hinted theyll be there does say something.

Which ones do that?

I certainly bow to you and DL's unparalleled enthusiasm for posting on this site, that's for sure.

:hoo:

nice try, but it was directed at you.

see if you can find exactly which hidden spells are in HOF that actually do work when assigned in game.

HINT: I already know the answer because i spend more time prowling through the files and experimenting with them myself than i do going through the posts on this site.

I've also played around with spells (which are not hard to find) and skills (which are in the same place). Would you like to start a topic over in the Modding forum to talk about these?

I've discovered some funny things. For instance, if you assign the Imperial Griffin's divebomb skill to another creature, it will take off but never comes down. (I suppose that could be semi useful in some situations.)

You could call the ability Run Away... seeing a BD doing it would be so kool.

...that's actually an excellent idea!

the ability to move a particular stack OFF the field of combat after you have started would be invaluable.

I kinda did, but it was specific to creating new spells. why don't you start a new one?
