Jeff Spock, writer for Heroes of Might and Magic V, posts on his <a href="/http://www.jeffspock.com/stories.html">blog</a> that he is working on a fantasy title to be released in 2007:
<blockquote><i>"All I can say about it is that it exists, and I am being paid to work on it. Scenario, dialogues, character profiles, and cinematics."</i></blockquote>
The tasks he lists are the same as those of Heroes V. He could be referring to the second expansion, a new Might and Magic game or maybe something completely different. Thanks to Eternor, who found this interesting information.

"All I can say about it is that it exists" - a very interesting sentence that quite changed my initial reaction about these news. Why would he want to say that? That everybody is expecting it and that it exists? Interesting!

It is not his blog, it is more like a portfolio. The information was already there for quite long time.

I'd prefer an HV expansion over an HVI. It doesn't seem like they've worked all the kinks out yet.- not nearly. It could easily turn out to be the next Might and Magic game.

It's like he's subtly (and by subtly I mean the kind of subtlety HoMM V can muster ) hinting to us: "Brace yourselves, this next installment will be a tour de force of sparkling writing."
@kingcranium14: Expecting a sixth installment to the HoMM series (if there is in fact going to be one) is unrealistic at this time, not until 2009, at the soonest.

Yeah, they have to put out 2 more expansion at least to get the # of towns to H3 Complete status. No wonder they left out the barbarians, they need them to sell the last expansion.

They need to get JVC and the people who wrote the Shadows of Death and Half Dead campaigns to write for Heroes 5.

@ Vicheron, they allready tried getting JVC on the team and it failed remember. JVC didn't want to have anything to do with the series in Ubi hands...
