Hammers Of Fate Cheats
Now I knoooooooooooooow what you're thinking. But you're wrong
I just tried to get the console to work, but no luck.
It doesn't matter much and I can carry on, but I'd vastly prefer being able to change my hero right now. I'm on the fourth level of the first campaign. I was forced to choose my last light magic perk (refined mana ) there were no other options available. This leaves me without master of wrath, which would make Freyda quite a lot more powerful.
I'd be willing to cheat to change that. The standard homam 5 way to cheat failed.

not working
I've tried following these directions in order to be able to use cheat codes in the game but am having no luck (I have installed HoF but am still trying to finish the Ranger campaign). I get the console, but the codes don't do anything. Any ideas?

well, if you're sure you set up the autoexec_a1.cfg file properly, I suppose it's possible they disabled the cheat codes for the single player campaign, but i can't figure out why they would. they certainly didn't in the original.
it works perfectly for all of the single player scenarios I've tested so far.
of course, just like the old version, the cheat codes won't work in any version of multiplayer.
I would recheck your editing and placement of the autoexec_a1.cfg file; it should go into your NEW profile you created when you first started HOF.
the original file is found in the profile directory where you installed the game.

Aye, maybe I should've posted there sorry.Pitsu wrote:You read that?: http://www.celestialheavens.com/forums/ ... php?t=4692
In any case. Yes I've done all that. Console pops up, but I can't change my hero. I'm currently using the name "Axel" which was Freyda in the original campaign. Guess that could be the problem.
EDIT: Typo's

have the names changed for heroes?
I'm still trying to figure out the name codes to use for the new dwarven heroes; so far I have them mostly figured out except for what the code name is for "Elring".
to test your codes, try modding the resource values, maybe:
@SetPlayerResource(1, 6, 50000);
that should, if your cheats are working, give you 50K gold.

Right. Well I've got the basic stuff to work. My problem was that I was using numbers as ID when wanting a new skill. I think this is supposed to work, but for me it did not. Using the names (WARLOCK_FEAT_ELITE_CASTERS etc) did. It is claimed you can learn more than 3 abilities per skill using console, but that doesn't work here either. Thus I'll have to remove some.
Is there any code to remove hero skills? I couldn't find one. Tried some basic ones @RemoveHeroSkill("Freyda", WARLOCK_FEAT_ELITE_CASTERS); etc.
Searched some forums. Noone knew, but hey! Maybe someone got lucky
EDIT: It also seems it is not possible to add an ability now without having it's requirement. I was unable to add Retribution without having taken Trainer first.
