In Romanian SF doesn't stand for "Science Fiction", but for "Science Fantasy" (Ştiinţifico-fantastic).

They could, true. But its a concensus that SF stands for things that can happen sometime in the future,or in some paralel universe,or on some distant planet.Usually things that can be rationally explained.Fantasy on the other hand usually involves magic and gods, and other things that cannot be rationally explained(or no one tries to).But its nothing strict. Its more of a deal than a rule.

SF - based on fictional science, even if it doesn't make much real sense.

Fantasy - based on supernatural/magic.

If a guy can throw fireballs out of his whatever because he has nanites in his blood or a genetic mutation etc. it's SF, if he does it coz of some supernatural (and thus outside of the natural world that science explains) force that he's using or is using him it's Fantasy.

If you're an idiot and don't know how it works. I'm pretty sure a caveman would think that a lighter was magic.

And if you really want to get into it nothing is supernatural, seeing how if it happens it's part of the natural world.

You got the unofficial patch v.1.4? They've started work on V.1.5 now. Will be released Dec 2007 though....

nope, version 1.2 is what i have when install the game, never bother to upgrade, playing dwiggs mod last few months, really interesting one

unofficial patch dont change game itself or it does but just little bit, they add new units and other goodies, but you need special maps created for that patch to see all the new stuff, unlike in mod i play
