Oh,I loved that one.It was on TV couple of hours ago(how I caught it is still a mistery, cause I almost dont watch TV at all).It was ghosts in us,or ghosts whitin,or something like that.As for horrors, hellraiser was an interesting one.But just the first one.The rest were pretty much dumb.Silent Rogue wrote:and there was another good scary movie about this family who thouth that they lived in haunted house. but it was they who were the ghosts.it was also one of my best seen movies.
Seen any good movies lately?

The Others was .... interesting, but I loved Event Horizon, very unexpected
Saw X-Men III this weekend (I know, old news) but I liked it, wasn't super keen on the whole Dark Phoenix thing, only cause she's so much more powerful then all the rest, but they did a reasonable job with it .... and even though it ended as it did (Magneto shot) I'm pretty confidant they'll let it rest at this point
Much more interesting is that I read something about the next Fantastic Four movie (which was just a'ight) and there was one thing that I read that made this a must see movie for me, can ya guess what it was???
they better do it right!!

The plot was more or less DOOM without the marines. Way more DOOM then the DOOM movie anyway.stefan.urlus wrote:The Others was .... interesting, but I loved Event Horizon, very unexpected

_The Prestige_ was very good - you really have to pay attention though, as there are a lot of flashbacks/time changes. I did see one of the major 'surprises' coming, but the others did their jobs and took me by surprise. On the other hand, I'm more than happy to wait for the film to tell its story and not to try to pre-visualize the ending.
I saw _Flushed Away_ last week. Very cute - loved the slugs.
_The Escape Claus_ (Santa Claus III) is a good young children's movie, but a bit obvious to anyone over the age of 10. But then, I like Tim Allen.

I watched Halloween Resurrection again this week-end, so that I could remember how awful it was. The DVD extras are surprisingly good though, with an extensive narration by Rick Rosenthal. He talks about plans to let DVD users watch the house sequence from the point of view of each character in a future special edition, a plan that never became a reality because the movie was a failure.
I also enjoyed the Prestige. The hard part for me was recognizing the main characters as they kept changing disguises and facial hair. The twist to the Tesla theme revealed at the end really knocked me out of my seat.
People need to realize that stage magic was once a leading form of entertainment and that there were all sorts of intrigues regarding feature illusions. Houdini was the Paul Newman of his day. There are still some great stage shows (Lance Burton, David Copperfield, etc.) but they tend not to tour, so they don't get the wide exposure. I think magic loses a lot on TV, even when you believe they are not using camera tricks.

Before you criticize someone, first walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you'll be a mile away. And you'll have their shoes.
