Okay, am I missing something? What's so bad about the paper-doll? It looks fine. It gives you 3 misc. slots in addition to the body-part slots. I don't understand the complaint. What exactly do you find fault with?

Compared to how the H3 paper doll was set up, this is just, i dunno, too plain. Yea, it's simple, but I'd prefer the one from H3.

Warning for all Map Makers :

if you install patch 1.4, it will remove three whole sections of objects from the editor. "Arena", "Conquest", and "Dialogue" objects will be removed. All the interesting and unique objects in the "Arena" section that i use every map for decoration are gone. no more academy buildings, towers, dark elf statues, towers, unique walls, ect....Nival must put these items back

They just jumbled the fields and draw a pathetic figure behind.Thats what paper dolls looked like 10 years ago.Check the HIV paper doll to see how it should look like.

Plus, didn't H3 have 4 misc slots? 5 in SoD? And H4 had 4 too?

Anyhow, my main complaint is, as TT and The Mad Dragon said, the graphical part. It's just too plain and boring.

Yes, H3 did have misc spots. There was atleast 10 spots for items.

In the above announement at the bottom link for the download of 1.4 patch, did you notice the m&m web page list the patch as Patch 1.3? Here is what it says, Quote: "Thursday 09.11.06 Heroes V 1.3 patch released. A nice little treat for all you Heroes V owners out there we have the 1.3 patch. The download links are as follows:" Unquote..

That statement in itself stop me from downloading it and I bet I am not the only one who won't download patch 1.4 from mightandmagic.com web site because they will think it's patch 1.3...

its all good. the actual patch lists say the correct version. i used the auto patcher no problem but havent actually played it yet...

oh dear, nothing really changes does it, it's like they change a bunch of stuff, but the quality improvement is non-existant
