@Mytical
Now,that's pessimistic. It's bad that all this happened at the same time but there's nothing you could do to avoid them-they just happen.Try not to think of further negative things,it can only darken your mood more.I hope you will find some peace soon...

Saurons tough od the day:

I am asking myself, why do the forums have so many moderators? To control topics you need 1 administrator and 2 moderators? Mostly, they say so that you can easily find theme when you need theme.
Now I am asking this: Why in 80% times when someone asks theme something, they don't reply? That may perhaps be jus my luck, but still, I asked many moderators something on many forums and sometimes I even asked theme something only to see will they reply. I think that only one replied, but he asked me something, and when I told it, he (again) didn't reply.
Also, something else interesting about moderators:
On one forum, someone posted a link that leads to a virus. Under it is a message from a moderator to NOT open the link because you will be infected and that if you are infected, you PM him and he will tell you how to get rid of it. Not just that he should have deleted the link first and then put the message, when I PM-ed him to see if he knows the solution (I found it after less then 5min thanks to Goooogle) and know what? He didn't reply! I asked others too, and the didn't reply. We are not talking about something unimportant, we are talking about an expensive machine!
So now I ask this: Why do we need so many moderators when almost all of theme, on whichever forum on this world, are useless for anything else then locking treads?!
I am back and ready to... ready to... post things.

Bad managment. Some become moderators out of fun and friendship instead of actual competence.

We need a large staff of moderators because og several things: 1) Timezones - we're not all awake at the same time. 2) Real life ;) - most of us have normal jobs or studies, wifes, girlfriends, children etc and these 'tasks' must also been seen to - hence less time to spend here.

I do hope you haven't been unlucky adressing the mods of the Round Table :)
I was lookin’ back to see if you were lookin’ back at me to see me lookin’ back at you.

Because we need them. We can't all be online at the same time, and you guys need near constant attention. Some mods are more active than others, and not everyone is browsing the same forum.

If you need to contact a moderator, the best way is to send a PM. If you send a PM to a mod who is not online too often, however, you might not get a reply that quickly.

What the hell? Seriously, where and when did you see this?

For the sake of order, here is the list of current moderators:

Angelspit (admin)
Ethric
Gaidal Cain
GhostWriter (inactive)
Kalah
Kristo
Marelt Ekiran (lurking)
Pitsu
Pol
Psychobabble (inactive, comes by occasionally)
Robenhagen
Vlad976

Like I said, some of these are more active than others, and not everybody browses the same forums. The ones that are quite active include Angelspit, GC, Roben and myself - at least those are the ones I keep running into.

He never said this forum.Personally, its undermoderated(you can see it when a spambot lasts for a few hours). But there are forums where every other person is a mod.Its really sickening.

Don't worry, I am not talking about yours ;)
And I don't think that it would be ethic to mention theme with virus and all.

Also, this post isn't only connected with this one (tough there are some happenings I could mention as well) but with forums in general.

Also, to those mods who read this and are not used on replying: if you are not sure what to say, then don't say nothing. That drives people nutt!

The moderation on this board is just right. I've seen much worse. I've been "Jewed" on a South Park forum for being sarcastic in response to a sarcastic statement. Other boards I frequent are unfortunately not moderated and browsers are subjected to the illogical ramblings of people who are unable to formulate a sentence without profanity.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

now ain't that the truth!!!

about the only point I have about the mods here is in relation to timezone .... and that is that there is rarely a mod on during part of the time I am here (excepting the occasional pop-in, pop-out) which generally is about 0300 - 0700 GMT (if my maths is right), having said that however, I'm generally the only one on during this time (consistently) anyway, so it's not that important :D

which is why I get my name on so many threads during this time, it's like a long line of stefan.urlus down the right hand side! :D

It's a celebration of ones birth, so it's pretty important, well, depending on those that feel that it's important. My bday used to be important, but as the years have gone on, it's just gotten less and less important. Now it's just another day, but I get stuff.
