Class swapping

Unread postby the_critical_process » 21 Feb 2006, 03:41

I have a level 14 bard in the life campaign, first scenario. He's got advanced scouting, basic combat, expert nature magic, grandmaster herbalism, expert meditation, and expert summoning.

He comes on a war university, and he can take all 4 classes - basic pathfinding, melee, archery, and magic resistance. So I take them, in that order, and I become a beastmaster after taking the archery.

I was already a bard, which came from my scouting and nature magic, reinforced by the scouting in the war university. How can skills after that point change my class again?

Your advanced class is determined by the two skills you have the most levels in. If you already have an advanced class and you level up in a third skill tree so that it equals one of your current skills, nothing happens. But if you get one more, then your advanced class will be re-calculated.

Which can make getting a Demonologist such a long and troubled process . . .
Far too many people speak their minds without first verifying the quality of their source material.

Building a demonologist is not so hard, but you have to be careful, and usually it takes level 20 or close.

Good grief can a thief never get a magic skill before level 10?

Level 20 is essentially "hard".

If you have the altars or those magic school libraries(or something like that), then getting demonologist is easy. I got a lvl 7 one against Vulcanic once in a battle.

Yea but we're talking about a GM demonologist ofc (that summons devils).
