I used to play on Balanced (a modded difficulty that's identical to hard, except the AI doesn't cheat), but more recently I'm playing on Heroic and find that it's just challenging enough, so I'll continue playing on this difficulty.

Heroic and sometimes Hard
No matter how powerful one becomes, there is always someone stronger. That's why I'm in a constant pursuit of power, so I can be prepared when an enemy tries to take advantage of me.

Normal and Hard, based on my mood. Heroic is too slow/tough for me.

Hard though I've tried a few times heroic. Sure you can survive but I simply dislike the lack of resources.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.
