The Random Pictures thread
This thread is for posting pictures of almost any kind.
When Corribus opened it's predecessor, he wrote:
"I don't know about the rest of you, but I like looking at pictures that other people have taken, regardless of the subject. So here's a thread for sharing random pictures - they can be pictures of you, a local site or attraction, a favorite event, a hobby, vacation pics, whatever. Just make it interesting. The only rules are:
(1). You have to have taken the picture or be in it.
(2). It should be reasonably sized.
(3). You should tell us about the picture. What is it? Why did you take it? "
Have fun

How you scaled down the image size, only for the forum?

It's my dad's. Honestly, don't you guys read the FAQs?
To display a small picture, simply substitute the text for the IMG-link to the small picture. That way, the small picture will be displayed as usual, and when you click it (instead of the text that's normally there), it takes you to the link, which is the BIG picture.Kalah wrote:Info: To create hyperlinked signatures (text sigs with links in them), use the following code.
Code: Select all

In War: Resolution, In Defeat: Defiance, In Victory: Magnanimity, In Peace: Goodwill.
I've read the FAQ, honestly. As you may saw, my sig. is hyperlinked. Still, as dumb as it may sound I still cannot understand how this thing works. Where is the connection between the small pic and the big pic.

A'ight... "dummy-cap'n-talk"... let's see.. You have two pictures, right? One big and one small. What you do, is display the small one with the normal IMG code:
You use this code instead of the text. Then you create a normal URL link on top of that, so that when you click the small picture, it takes you to the big picture. Thus:
You can see how AS did this by hitting the "quote" button on his post, and looking at his complete entry.
It's quite brilliant, actually, since it means you don't have to view the big picture unless you're really interested.

Here's an even simpler explanation: just go to http://www.imageshack.us to host your pictures. They'll do the thumbnail for you and generate the bbcode to display the pics.Muszka wrote:Thanks 'wise-and-all-knowing-Kalah'

That's not an explanation, that's a solutionAngelspit wrote:Here's an even simpler explanation
All humans do is to go to a place, bountiful of nature, and live there. Then the human multiplies and sucks all the wonders there. They move to the next. There is one thing that works the same way as that: a virus.
Thanks AS. Although I've reed the FAQ and registered at Imageshack, I cannot really use it due to my bad internet connection and the fact that I'm using a Proxy.
