Dear friends of the Round Table.
I recently learned to enjoy online playing. I just loved the action, the competitive opponents, and well, the whole purpose of PvP playing. But learning on PvP is a rough path. In order to refine your techniques, you have to face tricksters, addicts, creepers and mean people in general. They have all sorts of traps figured out, ready for an easy pray. But there is no doubt that with each defeat you learn something new. And the learning curve is fast ans satisfactory.
But, good things always come to an end. After a tough siege against a more experienced opponent, I won the game. Killed his main hero and took over his castle, a clean victory. He then left the game, but no screen of victory popped up. I was alone in the game, unable to move my characters, acess my castle or skip turns. The only option left was QUIT. After 5 minutes of fruitless waiting, I decided to leave the game. And result: a defeat was computed into my profile.
Now THAT brings my blood to a boil. I take any defeat with honorable behavior, but not injust miscalculation. That is really frustrating.
Now, any suggestions on how to confirm my victory and/or making this kind of error less prone to happen?

Doubts about Multiplayer on Ubi.com
I'm sorry to hear that, I've heard such incidents before. Bad losers, how pathetic..
I don't know how ubi scoring system works but I would post at ubi so that others know not to play such idiots. Is there anyone in charge or are things run automatically?

I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

Those sort of things and the fact i like more honorable plays is exactly why i prefer to play at toh (www.toheroes.com) and not at ubi.com.

I think this sort of thing is unavoidable in online gaming; there's a lot of foul play out there. Although based on my experience on Ubi.com so far, it is much better than a lot of online games. I think Heroes attracts a more mature audience in general, which is why. I don't think a lot of people have the patience to play a slow paced game like Heroes. I've done a lot of RTS gaming with Starcraft and Warcraft in my time, and it is less mature than Ubi.com.

I didn't say he did. I say that it's QP worthy, but I'm not gonna HCM a moderator TWICE for giving QPs. They aren't loafs of bread.Asheera wrote:I don't think he did that for a QPLord Lakely wrote:Which Still failed to get a QP...
as for on-topicness: that network is really good, I played a few matches. (Duels mostly, and one REAL game versus PhoenixReborn)
OH MY GOD !!!!
Ubi's system sucks IMO.Wolfsburg wrote:Same thing happened 1 hour ago. Opponent leaves after noticing he is being creamed at combat. "Objective complete" notice shows up. But thats it. No victory signs. No victory computed in my profile.
heck.
No matter how powerful one becomes, there is always someone stronger. That's why I'm in a constant pursuit of power, so I can be prepared when an enemy tries to take advantage of me.
