Patch 2.1?

Hello!

I'm trying to install the patch 2.1 for HoF and nothing works out.

I first downloaded the patch from here, and tried to install from the desktop. Says it can't find the game therefore I put it in my H5 folder, but it still said "Can't find the original game". I also tried putting it inside the bina1 folder.

So I used the auto-updater, but when I try to install it, it says "An installation support file "C/DOCUMENTANDSETTINGS/blablabla/SendStats.exe" could not be installed."

and it closes and stays there.

I didn't install any of the H5 patches from 1.4 to 1.6, and I installed my H5 game in another drive, not in the C (In the D, actually).

It would be also worth mentioning that my game has been installed using another computer's DVD rom for the expansion since I only have a CD-rom on the computer I want to play the game.

Any ideas?

For starters 2.1 is for hammers of fate, the rest are for the original H5. Whether the original is patched or not does not matter because it is considered a separate game.

The autoupdater is occasionally bugged, you could find the list of patches here. just make sure that the version matches, if it's from europe you should get eu etc. if not it gives the message that the game is not installed.

I tried both europe and US versions, neither worked.

It just can't find the game at all.

Q. I don’t know which version of the game I have. How do I find out?
A. Go to the Windows Start button.
Click it, and then click on the ‘run’ option.
Type: regedit
Hit enter.
Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ubisoft\Heroes of Might and Magic V (may differ).
IN that folder you will see another folder and the name of that is the version of the game you have; for instance ‘European.’

I think I might have found the problem.



Notice how one game is US and the other is European...

Hmm. Do I need to re-install it all?
