It's awesomely kitsch in it's factions... although i disagree with he reviewer that said Mirabel/Victor is copied from Robotech/Macross... they're closer to a Gundam (not transformation, and gundam's are older).

Of course the bad suffers greatly from a rather poor UI... people on the intertubes seem to think that it would rival SC if it had a better UI... your thought? (i haven't played enough myself, but i don't see why it wouldn't be true).

P.S. The only other thing that's annoying is the Novus' flow grid... i think the energy area is way too small for your base not to get too cluttered with spiderweb like light beams... maybe they should have an option to turn it off from being always visible...

Teh Masari rock... even if "no flight" in Dark Mode is so annoying... they're also the only ones that get research trees in the campaign... which is rather shitty towards the other races...

I'm also of the opinion that the Inquisitor's wings should fold more while on the ground... make them look more different...


The Global Conquest mode, which you get to test in the Masari campaign, is also way better then the one in DoW, Emperor: BfD and other games i played... of course it's also Real Time, which i have no idea how will work against more then one other human player...

Think it's a nice game, looks a bit like a mix between C&C and Star Craft!

SC?! Coz of the 3 factions or because they're different? Coz that's the only way it's comparable...

Anyhow, play it... maybe they'll make more...



Also, as i understand Windows Live does have a free account, you just won't be able to play some of the more complex modes in MP (kinda sh*ty, but most other games don't even have online global conquest) and you won't get rated in the ladder... and if you're a number junky just do the world a favour and off yourself... so keep the complains about it at a minimum... just play it at the free account level and show M$ there's no money to be made from restricting stuff no one else has...
