How to open downloaded maps?

Hi all
i`m using HOF version i when i download maps i cant see them in the game itself even when i copy them to the maps folder.

how can open downloaded maps in this game?

the maps come compressed typically in a .rar or .zip file you need to take them out of that form and then move the map itself into the maps folder

I have the same problem as this guy had only I extracted the maps from the zip file. I also don't have a map folder and maps like "Refugee" or "A Tear For Ossir" that came with the game don't appear on my pc (and yet, I can play them).
What can I do to play maps from the Internet?
