Newbie here - unequipped combo artifact, can anyone help?

I'm playing the 2nd campaign in Tribes of the East. I'm having some problems beating the guy at the end. Anyway, I've checked my backpack and I have (among other artifacts) all the pieces to "Death's Embrace" which includes:

Staff of the Netherworld
Cloak of Death's Shadow
Ring of the Unrepentant
Amulet of Necromancy

All are on the character and not in the backpack, yet it still says "Unequipped"? How do I equip this? In other HOMM games in said something like "You have all the pieces to X combo artifact, would you like to assemble it?". It's not doing that here.

Can anyone help?

I don't know why it says unequipped but as long as you see 4/4 you are ok. In H5 the artifacts do not assemble, they just give the bonus

No you have it on right its just they work more like diablo 2 sets than h3 combo artifacts. Welcome to the forums.

Hmm. When I fight a creature it doesn't reduce their speed by "1" which is part of what this combo is supposed to do. I've checked it out by fighting a neutral stack...

Sounds like a bug then, I have used that combo and it worked as intended. Tried to unequip and put on again?

You notice the names under this message? If any are unequipped they will show up as grey. Showing you which is 'unequipped'. The message is not an error, just a means of alerting you as to which is equipped and which is not. Or at least that is what I believe.

It's actually probably because you have 2 of the same item. is there another ring or amulet of necro in your backpack too?

The silly "Have Unequipped" part should be removed. Where is that damn patch already??
