Proper Widescreen support wanted!
I now this issue isn't new but I want it to be adressed another time:
Heroes V doesn't support Widescreen resolutions proper. In the options menu you can select the proper resolution but the effect is that the game stretches the picture. Everything on the map is too small in size and too wide.
I don't think a proper support is so hard to adress from the developers and if there would be only one remaining patch and I could decide which one - I would take widescreen support!!!
Hopefully a developer is reading this post!
Greetings
Loco

I seriously doubt that a developer is reading the post because most of them don't even speak English.
That aside I would second the request for wide screen support and I'd like to one-up that request by requesting "proper" support for things like 1080i ; 1080p ; 720p ; etc. support. [I.E. Hi-Def TV support] ....
Resource-wise I'm only asking for an 8% increase in pixels pushed out compared to 1600x1200 so that's not asking too much from a modern day game IMHO.

Thanks for the update man!!Jolly Joker wrote:Here's my widescreen support tip for the day. Check patch 3.1 when it's out.
I doubt that I'll get any Hi-Def lovin' with H5 but it's still good news to hear that general wide screen support may be around for H5.
This gives me some additional hope for H6!!
Edit: Is there any chance for Hi-Def lovin' with the new patch?

I may not be buying TotE BUT I would still like to know if HDTV resolutions are supported.Jolly Joker wrote:Should you mean HDTV support with this question... err, didn't you say you don't want to buy ToE? Anyway, so should you mean this, well...
I wonder if the H5 core version of this patch would get a similar widescreen updates. It would be nice but this sounds like a good TotE-only feature.

Should I take your answer to be "If I buy TotE then I will get HDTV support with the 3.1 patch"?

Someone has pretty high expectations! Is the patch by some chance codenamed Eden 2? Or perhaps Eden Creation Kit?Angelspit wrote:Patch 1.3 is also rumored to put an end to global warming, cancer and hunger. I can't wait to update my game...!Jolly Joker wrote:Check patch 3.1 when it's out.
Hope you won't get too disappointed if it does only 1 of the three things.
