Heroes 2 PoL Problem

In Corruption's Heart (Scenario 8), I have 1 Necro castle to take over, but I can't enter it to attack. The cursor doesn't change to the sword, just stays as the horse movement icon.

How can I fix this?

Have you tried moving into the castle using the arrow keys?

You're not the first person to report this, though I don't remember having experienced the bug when I played that map years ago.

Smells like a nasty save game corruption

Try to get a H2 save game editor...

replayed all the scenario all over..
still the same problem (that's allways the same necro castle)... I even tried letting an enemy hero enter and stay in the castle before attacking but to no avail.. the battle happens in dirt ground

does anyone know where to find a save game editor?
or any other solution?

btw.. I also fought against alamar in the bottom left corner, and vanquished all other opponents... maybe this interferes with winning the game?

What version are you guys using, PoL or Gold and h2 executable version Dos or Windows ?

Upload them to any free hoster, Rapidshare for example ..

Ok. So map files are identical, I finished it with cheats, and nothing similar happened, but in your save game I see that bug.
I think the source of the problem might be some error in the program that: incorrectly creates game from ready map, or incorrectly saves it, or there is some issue that comes up after particular player's action on the map.

I would ask you to give me your save games before last map starts. Its
POL_6.GXC or POL_7.GXC. Then I could say for sure.
Also, tell me the size of your heroes2w.exe or heroes2.exe files.
