Eye of the Beholder..GBA

A tad bit stumped here. I just killed the first vampire you face (and what a pain he is, hard as heck to hit). Found four buttons that look like eyes, clicked on all four ..and nothing (except one turned red)...anybody have a clue what to do now?

Yeah unfortunately work blocks most walkthrough sites, and I have lost internet at the house hehe.
