Yes, it's not the paranoid schizophrenia, but the weed and playing GTA:

as of the behaviour of the average GTA player, http://www.google.ee/trends?q=insane%2C ... l&date=all.
indeed, i also got the feeling "once i get my own car, im gonna roll all over them" feel after playing gta1. after gta3 came out, and i got hooked again, the good ol' feel returned

Video game violence? Haven't we been down that road before?
My feeling is that you are so stupid or lack so much self control that you feel the need to kill someone after playing a video game, then you're bound to eventually get into trouble with the law anyway. Video games aren't the problem. The problem is that many people are just animals. We were murdering each other long before GTA came around.
That said, I don't really see the allure of a game where you go around and kill random people just for the fun of it. Maybe I'm missing something, but certainly there's something more productive these people could be doing with their time.

Actually i was going more for the part where they blame everything else but the fact that the guy was schizophrenic.

That's useless. You can blame nobody for the scizophrenia.ThunderTitan wrote:Actually i was going more for the part where they blame everything else but the fact that the guy was schizophrenic.
Cannabis (a drug not stronger than acohol) and a video game are more convenient.
The human is a violent predator, so shit will happen no matter what kind of regulations they come up with. Fact is that there are dangerous people, who will make trouble somehow, no matter what games are they playing, what music are they listening to, or movies what movies are they watching.

Interestingly, there are many countries where playing video games is as prevalent as in the US (Canada for instance), but the level of violence is nowhere near as high. If there were a correlation, why would it stop at the border?

Video games even if play the role in the violence play very little. It is often the demographics suc as upbringing, the social status and etc. that contribute more.

How are we responsible 4 schizophrenia?! I think it's more about pointing at something you don't like instead of the truth.

I think it is just popular to blame something new. This time around it is video games. schizophrenia been around for years so blaming it would not produce much of a sensation.
